Nah the Tornado is even worse than the already bad Phantom and still it sits at 13.3 fighting F14-F16 and Gripens and so on.

@@Gunjob-Gaming I’m gathering materials to publish a set of detailed videos regarding the Tornado, its inception, real-life usage etc., and I am perpetually shocked at how little the F-111K and AFVG/NKF gets mentioned at all. It’s surprising. WT’s official Tornado video certainly didn’t do the plane much favour.

In Tornado we trust.

For me, it goes like this: have a bit of fun in the Harrier, then get shot down by a Mig27 repeatedly (there are alot of them). I then realise the Mig27 is supersonic, with a great HUD, great radar with IFF, IRST, all aspect IRs and CW Radar missiles, and sits in the same sim bracket (11.7 vs 11.3) as my subsonic brick with its four flare-attracted AIM-9Ls. So I close the game, or go up to the Gripen instead (god knows the Tornado's are a bit gimped).

It’s already slightly overperforming than the actual aircraft as far as I know. There are plenty of E-M charts for Su-27 and the plots for in-game FM slightly exceeds the real life. The problem with Su-27 in mouse aim is the insane agility of other airframes at high speeds, and limited low speed authority. Play the thing in sim and it’s a *very* different story.

@left_ventricle the su 27 is supposed to be able to dogfight well, it's the worst dogfighter at its tier, it's not over preforming at all.. that statement is actually hilarious. It's OEF even is incorrect. It's 0.44 in game when it's 0.71 irl, it litteraly bleeds almost twice as much speed as it should in a turn, it is UNDER preforming. It should be able to beat the F-15, F-16, and Gripen in a dogfight but it has no advantage in game.

@@left_ventricle in sim controls the SU-27 is still hilariously easy to beat even with r73s, I've never lost to an SU-27 in a proper merge.

If you look at when I killed the F-16C towards the end, you can see the much improved turning performance, on production that turn would've been muuuuch slower. Also roll rate is higher too now.

@@Gunjob-Gaming is the roll rate higher?, must only be a marginal increase, when i was flying the tornado i didn't really notice it, but yeah, the new flight model now gives the tornado a fighting chance against enemies,

Can you tell me how exactly the fm was changed? From the visuals I only noticed that with the wings folded it started to react a little faster to the vertical, but the angles were still bad (or I'm wrong)

@@LostT1me it pulls harder, looses more speed, you can really notice the extra pull at higher speeds with the wings back imo, it feels less like a lead sled and closer to a phantom

It's hard work, even more so than the regular F.3 but killing much better airframes with my Tornado always brings a smile to my face.

@@pontifsulyvahn I honestly don’t think it would make much sense going to those lines, as the Gripper line is mostly exports and the SH line is carrier-based fighters, that’s where the F-35 would most likely go in the figure, and the Su-30MKI would probably be in the Gripen line
