Helluva job out there. Both streamers.....to me that just means as to how agressive they can be. Way to be patient on the fight. I've fished a 10' 7wt and I'm almost hesitant to do so anymore. It's more than adequate. However, for insurance, I just fish a 9' 9wt at least for the most part. Bring on the winds and the gray days!!

Very interesting! Could you get away with a floating skagit head and a floating poly leader for a line setup? Then run a short heavy butt section to a swivel and indicator like you said? Thinking of using my 12' fast action two hander for more still water applications. Especially since backcast room is limited for me at a lot of lakes so the option to spey cast really helps a lot with indicator rigs.

A little confused about your set up. You’re attaching a 9’ 2x tapered leader to straight 2x ljne (correct ? ) . Isn’t the butt section of a tapered line a lot thicker than the 2x and that’s ok ? Could you break down each section of the leader rig after the tippet ring? Thanks
