😊 thank you
Are all prone exercises more effective when pressing the forehead into the ground and lifting the chest like you demonstrated here? I'm looking to activate my deeper posterior muscles like the longissimus.
@@cwcard if you're looking at the upper mid back and shoulder muscles then yes it'll increase range of motion. For longissimus and all of the erector spinae muscles doing things like Superman's and starfish are good for that
classic
What's the purpose here?
@@kOt985 this exercise has a focus of balance and stability in the push off and the landing and increasing force/push off in legs
Cool! And why the need for the tuck?
@@kOt985 quick fast muscle contraction to get the leg up to help increase that burst from the floor. This is an exercise that I would program into our speed, quickness, and agility programs which typically would be used for athletes.
well that's n interesting one
Appreciate these videos
I like the release at the end 🫳
Weight should always be mid foot on any squat
Is there a downside to the bottom position you did? I find I can’t get into it without weight. My lower back is too tight. Would that help?
If you can get down into that position then your mobility is pretty good which is a plus, but in that position you're not focusing on tension in the muscles. If you're at parallel then you'll feel the quads and hamstrings working.
How many reps/sets to do this exercise?
Typically this would be a 3x15 or 4x12 exercise
@@clevelandarearuckingcrewho7174 Great! Thank you so much! I will try this once I complete physical therapy for total knee replacement.
@@rominagresely526 best of luck with the recovery!

This is horrible
what the dog doin
What is the benefit of this particular variant of the squat?
Similar to a front racked squat it works the quads more than a typical back squat. But having the arms out and weight being on those anterior deltoids it requires activation of the mid back muscles to keep the arms parallel to the ground and weight in place (forces you to keep the neutral spine), if using a barbell you'll really force the body to keep that upright position and so it won't roll forward on you. With that said it can help if you tend to roll the shoulders forward during squats as an accessory exercise for squats.
@@clevelandarearuckingcrewho7174 I will give this a try, thank you for your help.

Thank you❤. Learning animal movement
Good job 🌹🌹🌹
thanks
helpful
Sick, dude 💪
I'm confused. I thought you're not supposed to let your knees move infront of your toes when squatting? From this view it looks like your knees are going well infront of your toes
The knees should be tracking over the 2/3rd toes as they go outwards. It may be the angle but they are over the toes and not going past the toes in the video, for them to go outwards over the toes I would need to be lifting the heels off the ground (as I just tried to see if I could even get them past my toes).
Love the timing prescription.
'PromoSM'
that's one long rep LOL gonna be a killer AMRAP
Is this the man maker they would have you do at goruck challenge events? Need to start doing this exercise
Most likely you would do them with a ruck on
Nice video man
Wow, bad ass!
nice TV
Wtf
Im not sure your form is right here.
how heavy is that bag bro. thanks
In this video, I believe that is a 70lb bag.
There's a big part of me that wishes I didn't get injured during my time doing the HDT program, sidelining me from rucking and participating in events. Great stuff guys.
Man how are you doing now, how's the injury been?
What if I do it with the toms like a facepull ending ? I don’t really like with the fist closed ??
Not sure I quite understand what you mean about adding the facepull in. Like do the movement and then at the end pull the arms back towards the body more while keeping the elbow in the same position?
Woww okaay.. lemme just see them one more time rolling back 😐😐💀
ƤRO𝓂O𝕤ᗰ 🙂
Will be adding this to me routine! Work with what you got!
Pickle juice helps with cramps love
We tried that as well to no avail. We think he over hydrated and we never caught up to the salts he most likely flushed out.

Wow… my eyes were so puffy 😳
Yeah you were looking a little rough brother
I think it's a squat clean first.
Thank you for demonstrating this pose. I find the usual down dog very difficult as I don't have sufficient strength in my wrists and arms to do it well. I am hoping the Bear pose you demonstrate here will be a good alternative. Sue.

Get it FRANCE, DON, IAN!!!!
For sure this technique burns as much fat as cardio , thnx for the advice
Thanks for this! Really helpful with arthritis and planter fasciitis!
But why?
Works balance and stabilization with the shifting of the weight around the head. Triggers Type II muscle fibers around the joints as well to help decrease potential injuries.
Great exercise 💪🏼
I truly believe You are training hard with Bosu and shared this information. God bless you because you deserve the best!
