A useful basic demonstration. I believe the diode is 1N4007, not in4007. Basic rectifier diodes like that are a bit rubbish for switching converters because they switch slowly. Every time you press the switch, some of the charge on the capacitor goes back through the diode before the diode realises it's supposed to be blocking. This is one reason why we usually use Schottky diodes instead - they have fast switching speed. I once built a 20V boost for a backlight, intended to use a Schottky diode but thought I could get away with a 1N4001 in the short term. I couldn't. Output only got up to 15V. Faster diode fixed it.

In a capacitor, the current leads the voltage, so as the switch is tripped the current flows and begins to charge the cap, once charged to a sufficient level it kick starts the third phase (120 degrees off) needed for the motor to run.

It stimulates 3 phase in a way. It creates an artificial 3rd magnetic field so the stator has another winding to follow. Without it, you only get a magnetic field opposite of each other without good rotational force. Not all capacitors are used for this purpose.

Lol he have no idea what the capacitor does. Truth is that the motor will run perfectly without a capacitor but having one softens the start. On washing machines its no big deal anyway, he should have used air conditioners as an example.

That guy have no clue about electric 3 phase motors. They should all run in Delta but can often be switched down to Star when lower power output is needed. The star/delta startup is used when delta will pull so much power in the first seconds that fuses blow pr worse, the initial bang when starting a huge motor directly to delta will make you cringe, its so BRUTAL.

Capacitor shifts the phase so now you have 2 phases. Not cool as 3 phase but 2 is enough to run induction motor. Nowadays washing machines have BLDC motors etc...

Ma per favore, 650nm li raggiungono solo avvitatori a impulsi e questo non lo è. Questo avvitatore al massimo potrà arrivare a 50nm, se ci arriva. Le batterie poi hanno una fessura dove la scatola si compone. In pratica un piccolo trapano dalla durata incerta quindi non si capisce neppure se vale i pochi soldi spesi. Da come si presenta pare che le plastiche utilizzate siano di bassissima qualità il che equivale a dire che alla prima botta accidentale, una caduta dal banco, si spacca in mille pezzi. Ho guardato il video perché incuriosito dai 650nm, sembrava impossibile e infatti dopo averlo visto vedo confermate le mie sensazioni. Forse mi sbaglio ma a me sembra spazzatura cinese... eppure in Cina si possono trovare anche ottimi prodotti ma purtroppo non è questo il caso.
