This looks way easier than kingstanding tbf.. issue is in longstanding too much tight and small roads

In 17.15, it said turn left, 2nd exit for the roundabout, do you need to give the left signal before entering into the roundabout? My instructor told me cannot give the signal before entering into the roundabout, and then give left signal after passing the 1st exit, otherwise it will confuse the behind car you will turn left at the 1st exit. is this correct?
