Scheming should involve telling your zone defenders which routes they will match up with on specific plays that the opponent runs. Similar to the Madden zone depth except coaches can set the angle and alignment for LBs and DBs. Also you could choose how you want to base align to their formations. You can still choose whatever in the game, but it would protect player composure while running the plays they practiced. This could have been in the game years ago but EA never understood football

Coaches can't just upgrade their team's run defense. The only way you can improve your teams run defense is to watch film and to practice run fits and alignments to their best run plays....or change your scheme or find different players for next season. They need to make a knowledge gap not just a joystick skill gap. Kids and grown men going crazy on the RS and calling it football.

Turbo should only allow the Offense to see the base defense that they line up in. That's how it works in real life. You can snap the ball before they get out of their base defensive call. They said they are taking base defense out of the game...but I think that means they are taking EA's version of base defense out of the game. They didn't realize that you have multiple base alignments depending on the offensive formation. EA never deserved to make this game, they should have been replaced by former coaches and former players
