Take it back. Charge it to 90% from a 14-50 in the camping area. Put it in sport mode and turn off DSC.

Tested with 50% SOC and not in Sport Mode, traction control in Sport mode is complitely different than Standard mode.

I have always thought that the bolt I own now could be a sleeper autocrosser. My problem has included really bad engine speed control to get the best power out of sharp turns ( 1985 mr2 na ). Bolt has so much torque that it’s not an issue at all.

Coming out of a VW GTI and a miata, I’d have to say that the Bolt is a blast to drive. Its not that it is as well handling as those two cars but the lots of power and skinny tires makes it fun to drive on the edge without breaking any laws. The steering feel is really good as well as the “sensation” of velocity which is not numb like in a Tesla or Mercedes. If you’re going 120kph… you feel like you’re going 120kph! The one pedal driving is aggressive and it feels very much like engine braking in 3rd gear. Sport mode I can attest actually makes a difference in throttle response and power delivery.

to turn off stability control in my jeep I have to remove the ABS fuse. that might be why it still triggers. but also I know nothing about this car lol

It is a grand tourer and not a high performance sports car. That is why it is very soft and floaty. It is meant for long distance cruising in comfort and not for a stiff ride. The transmission also overheats a lot in our laps on the track.

I am honestly surprised you were able to hustle this thing as much as you did. This era of Lexus is known for having non-defeatable and very intrusive electronic nannies. Makes sense when the target demographic for this car is 79 year old Gertrude who just drives to church and back once a week. That poor PCM probably thought Gertrude had a stroke on the way to Sunday service.

This is the biggest reason i want the boost50 this black friday, for disabling tsc/stm. Coming from cars i can disable this feature, it sure was a buzz kill to find out how intrusive they have it set up in stock form, its very neutered and seems to kick in at the slightest little hiccup.

I have a 2002 ES300 with 178k miles. 2nd owner bought 2 years ago w 160k miles. I get the idea and fun of this video but I can’t imagine pushing my car like this. Yes it’s solid and build quality is unparalleled. I have a 1999 C5 FRC for this spirited driving!
