I much prefer your intro to the previous one. I know it's a generational thing, so I don't mean to say anything about what is right and wrong, but I personally, subjectively, found the aggressive vocal fry on the previous intro uninviting. Fun and lovely story as well :)

Singaporean are rightfully very proud of their airport, but the story does raise the question of how many other travellers have ended up missing flights because they were too caught up in enjoying the place. Glad it worked out for the narrator in the end :)

As I remember, the Da Nang airport is quite centrally located, so very easy to get to a hotel by bus. Nicely realistic story :)

No matter what it is, I cannot throw anything away without trying to freecycle it first. Of course, the man in the story takes it to the next level :) It also reminds of a true story - I was at camp and we were on a bus ride and I needed to dry my socks from the rain, so I put them outside and closed the window on them to let them flap in the wind. Of course someone accidentally opened the window and the socks flew away. Hopefully someone found the pair and put them to good use.
