Excellent video, I've been going to Bright for over 20 years now & I think it this year was the busiest I have ever seen, Saturday was pretty insane we just had to get out of town. The one thing that was apparent was that there weren't many old hot rods, muscle cars & Aussie street machines were in abundance this year. Cheers😊

That lower hose broke my willpower last winter maintenance 😂 Great tip on removing the top radiator bolt and lifting it...couldn't quite figure out how to get that extra clearance. Made the job MUCH easier.

Hi Giddo , New TB owner here (2010 also)...Did you make up that iron bracket in the front to put the lift under? Any drawing you could share? I'm not a welder, so I would have someone fabricate here in the US. Thx

Very nice installation sir. I have another brand I installed, no cameras though. I used the Lamonster mount and wired straight into the front accessory plug wiring. Smooth install.

According to the instruction booklet, I filled 4.6 l and let the engine idle for 90 seconds. After 3 minutes of standing still, the oil level is exactly in the middle between min and max. Now I wonder: top up to max level or leave it as is?

Can you tell me what you did to the Bird? It looks better than the Rocket in my opinion.

My aunt had a '72 Challenger 318 in that same Sherwood Metallic Green. No vinyl roof, all Sherwood, with and Green interior. When she drove me around in it back in the 70's, I used to think the exterior turn signal blinkers out on the fenders was so neat.

It was a good turn out. I was there with my old car.

I went from Thunderbird storm to rocket 3gt both great bikes, just can't beat the power & torque of the rocket3gt luckily i can still ride the storm if the other half is nice to me 😊. Good work Giddo keep it up

Yes, Yes, Yes. I have both bikes too. Completely different riding style but fantastic in their own right. Similar weights. Shame they stopped making the Thunderbird, it’s truly a great bike. I’m living in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Great places to see on a motorcycle.

Awesome video dude!👏👏👏 Ive been waiting to see a comparison between these 2 beasts. A guy from triumph rat forum pointed me in your direction! I have a 2013 thunderbird storm, and i love it! But now i want a rocket 3 gt to share the garage with it. If I could hit the like button a hundred times i would. This is the first rocket video I've seen with an exhaust that sounds that good, i love the subtle rumble of it. The thunderbird sounds amazing, of course. What exhaust is on your rocket ? Also, with the quick shifter, do you only need the clutch at starts and stops? Sorry that my comment is sorta choppy, im at work 😅 Be safe, cheers from Iowa 🍻

Not bad Giddo for a first try. I was hoping for more of an actual comparison between the 2 based on your ownership experiences. Things like how the 2 compare on comfort, wind, low down TQ, top end HP, handling, low speed maneuvering, etc.. Which is better than the other in those criteria ... that sort of thing. One thing I will say is I'll take the Thunderbird all day if it was based on exhaust sound alone. Reiterates my thinking that when it's time for me to move on from my 2012 TBird 1600 that unless Triumph reintroduces another large parallel twin cruiser that I'll likely end up on an Indian v-twin. I have yet to hear a good-sounding Rocket 3 unfortunately. Nice cars btw ... a Holden Ute it looks like out on the driveway and what's the older muscle car in the garage?
