Thank you for taking the time to check out my RUclips channel, centered around my career as a recording and performing musician. I am a freelance drummer and teacher in and around Philadelphia, PA, currently performing and recording with multiple artists and bands. Through this channel, I attempt to document my playing and progress as a musician as best as I can while paying homage the artists who have inspired me.

Here is another original from our performance a few weeks ago at Notsolatin in Philadelphia, written by bassist Eli Pace. This tune features various drones or as Eli calls them "sketches" (hence the name) that Eli wrote and are open to interpretation from there. Melodic phrases to play off of, or in my case, the simple disco-type groove idea. Enjoy!

Great Playing, 🍁 I've noticed, Neil does not use cymbals when Alex is playing a Lead, I wonder if that bit after the Solo was filled with a Lead they decided to drop. This is also the only Song they Changed live, they went into a half time feel after that part.
Yes! I've noticed that with a lot of the arrangements. Neil's was so tuned in with how to play for the song and compliment what Geddy and Alex were doing perfectly! I love the half time change they made with this one when they did it live.

Chicago is known for their horn section, their bass player Peter Cetera, keyboardist Robert Lamm, guitarist Terry Kath who are great musicians in their own right but that drummer Danny Serephine put it all together. Old Chicago was best for me with this line up. When I was on high school back in the 70’s I was studying a trade but across the street was a school call “High School for the Performing and Visual Arts” or as everyone knew as HSPVA. Their band was playing Chicago’s music and I remember jammin out to these songs.
