I listen to this every night before going to sleep. It is, in my opinion, the best theme in the game, especially the ancient and medieval parts. I will have Canada as one of the AI players everytime I play as other leaders just because of Canada's civ ability - (I used to get surprise war on me alot of times from the other AIs). Throughout my games, I only had one time going into war against Canada, in which I played as Julius Caesar and was going for a domination victory. Canada voted for going into war against me during a city-state emergency. I did capture one of their cities, but I felt guilty immediately afterwards, and I thought that "Canada is the one civ that will not easily go into war, but if you actually did go into war with them, you must've done something that isnt good (which I did by invading the other countries) that gives them no choice but to go into war with you . After that, I returned the captured city to them, and I even gave them 100 gold + 10 gold per turn as compensation. Afterwards, I declared friendship with him for the first time when playing as Julius, I actually always declare friendship with Canada every game but since I opted for domination victory, I didnt do that in that game. After that, I even partnered with Canada by going into war against Macedonia during another city-state emergency.

I find it so funny that at 8:41 and 12:25 in both the industrial and atomic eras when it becomes all grand and triumphant, it's the part of the song where the swagman kills himself.

when you consider what the lyrics of Waltzing Matilda are about this song suddenly seems a bit, two faced. to be fair this is something a lot of the songs in civ 6 have i mean look at Russia.

Fun Fact: The guy who wrote the music for the Canadian national anthem was a French-Canadian named Calixta Lavallée who fought in the American Civil War and was wounded at Antietam. Fun Fact: "Vive La Canadienne" today is the regimental anthem of the Royal 22nd Regiment based out of Quebec City. It was established in WW1 as the first full French-Canadian unit.

I really like how they represented both English and French-Canadian culture.

I'd like to listen to this but Sejong is the face of Korea. Not her. There are so many much more competent Korean leaders. Taejo and Gwanggaetto for example. Not a fan of Seondeok.
