I love it

Yoshi’s Story is my favorite game of all time. I actually love that it’s quite simplistic. It was the first real game that I loved as a kid. My Grandparents got it for me, and I was close to them. My Grandma died of aggressive cancer two years ago and my Grandpa of a heart attack years earlier. It brings me back to those days in the 90’s as a kid playing this game and other Mario games, Nintendo titles, etc. But I always loved Yoshi as a character, even as a kid, I was obsessed with Yoshi. My Grandma even remembered. And so I love this game very much. It’s very special to my heart because it reminds me of the bond I had with my Grandparents and it also reminds me of my childhood, simple times, fun times.

This game is a Nintendo classic! Like others have already mentioned, you can up the challenge of this game if you want

I refuse to believe Yoshi's Story or Donkey Kong 64 are considered bad games 😅 but I keep hearing haters lately.

I'm gonna be "that person." Yoshi Story is dog$#!+. One of the most bland and boring games on the N64. It will NEVER hold a candle (not even a match) to Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. Heck, I'd play Yoshi's Island DS a thousand times over than a second of Yoshi Story.

This is my favorite n64 game, and one of my favorite games of all time. I prefer it to even Yoshi's Island, my 2nd favorite snes game (earthbound is my favorite game ever) and the reason is... It feels... creepy. It actually feels like a horror game. All the bubbly and cute imagery is just because you play as baby yoshis. But even still... The high stakes, the terrifying renders of things like that spiky white and green long fish/eel thing... and how the music slows and pitches down right before you die... The description of the yoshis after they finish a level, it feels like they're trudging forward, despite it all... How desolate it can feel. It's... amazing. I love this game... I know im not describing it well... But I adore this game.

i like how this game is kind of an earthbound situation...was hated during its early times due to whatever thing it wasnt good at...but now in later times people enjoy it and see the fun in it

I completely understand your story. This was once of the first N64 games I tried as a kid, and I enjoyed it (I know it's for babies, but apparently I couldn't beat it 😂). It was only when I grew old that I heard people's take on it, and I was like "What? That game sucks?"

"Super Mario Kart is a piece of sh.." I 100% agree. It was great for it's time but absolutely does not hold up today.

Back in the day, the wholesale club sold DSi’s with two games included. The black DSi included two “boy” games, and pink included two “girl” games and the robins egg blue DSi included this game and Deal or No Deal. I only know this because my parents bought me the robins egg blue DSi since it was my favorite color. I recently remembered this m&ms game and wondered if it was a fever dream so I googled for it and your video was top of google for videos about m&ms adventure. It’s wild seeing this game again

Fun video, i'm trying to give this a try with my husband but for the life of us we can't get the custom tunic mod to do anything, I noticed your deku tunic was a different colour, was that a tunic mod or part of the randomizer? (i'm using Mod Loader, for the life of me I can't find out what i'm dong wrong lol)

I just played this a few months ago for the first time after beating yoshis island for the first time, the graphics jump had me geekin and I died so many times I was satisfied after finally beating it going at it for a few weeks on NSO

Idk I played this game when I was 1-4 years old. I enjoyed it a lot. Very charming style as well. I honestly forgot about the game until today. Pretty crazy to me people considered it bad when I just loved getting to new levels and seeing the new animated stages.

yoshi story its a very niche game and obscure yoshi/nintendo game, thats kinda sad more people should've know of this game

Loved yoshis story

I really like Pikmin 3. Each episode has its own way of renewing the formula. 1 is a real race against time 2 is all about exploration, with challenging peaks of difficulty in the caves 3 is about playing several characters at the same time to optimize, and what you collect constitutes your day's reserve 4 is the most chill, with the possibility of optimizing to the max, with a number of elements that make the game deeper (the dog and all the upgrades), but optimization is only for your personal scoring, as the number of days has no consequence, and there's above all a lot of little things to do in all directions, challenges, battles, night tower defense expeditions, endgame content, tons and tons of items to collect and survivors to find... They're all amazing at what they do ! Even if they do pretty different things

Yoshi's story reminds me of a simpler time when you could bring a new game home and be fully immersed in it's gameplay within minutes of walking in your front door. It's not a "good" game but I love it.

I HATED THIS GAME!!

I was born one year before the GameCube launched, so that was actually my first childhood Nintendo Console. However, when RUclips was born and I began browsing a lot on RUclips (because my mom allowed me to, thankfully enough), I constantly learned more about what the N64 Generation looked like, and from the looks of this game, I learned that Black & White Yoshies actually exist, proving that Yoshi had 10 official colors rather than 8. Anyway, I told my parents that I really wanted this game (and it's required console, of course), and they bought just that for me, thankfully enough! So while I wasn't born early enough to experience the N64 Days, the N64 still made it into part of my middle-childhood, with Yoshi's Story being one of those blasts/bangers! Yoshi is such a cute character for my Nintendo Childhood's existence... ☺️

Yoshi's island is a lot better overall. Yoshi's story refined the gameplay a bit more but lost some of the complexity and better level design, but even that is sort of a toss-up considering how many secret areas there are. That being said, *there was some weird ass creepy shit in Yoshi's story* it was very memorable. Doesn't hurt that Yoshi's wooly world is basically a perfect blend of both the older games and the N64 one.

But seriously, who the fuck is Calvin Tucker?
