What better way to take the Winnebago project on its first trip than to go to Brushy.

Doe Mountain Recreation Area!

The neck brace tapping on my chest protector is awful. Atlas has a mount for a GoPro on your chest protector but it has to go. Getting lost at Doe Mountain for the first time. The trails can be tricky with what I call bail outs and outlaw trails. You’ll turn one direction on single track and it takes you back to the main trail. You just have to back track to the split to keep riding. I’m also n...
Hard Single Track at Rockcrusher Farm

The single track here was definitely fun and worth the trip. We rode sections of the enduro loop and extreme enduro loop. Matt got lost from the group twice but were able to retrieve him.
Rockcrusher Farm Trip

2nd time coming to Rockcrusher Farm was even better. Our single track and extreme enduro loop sections will be uploaded too so check that out. This place has it all from wider faster trails, tight single track, hill climbs, obstacles, and mx tracks. I was able to receive the national shock from MX-Tech and was the first time riding it with my blackjack inserts. It was amazing.
Triston Got a New Bike - YZ85
Просмотров 7858 месяцев назад
Since the kid is growing and he wanted an 85, I picked up a 2022 for a good deal. The intent was to let him try this and if he wasn’t ready we’d keep practicing on his KLX110L. He did better on this bike than he ever rode! The only thing I plan to add is a flywheel weight to smooth the engine slightly for increased traction, stalling, and low end lugging.

First time for Triston at Paradise MX. He was able to ride the beginner track and enduro field loop.
Water cooled. Why?
@@E_Clampus_Vitus the XR650L is air cooled not water cooled.
@@braapfactory9942 Thanks. I got mixed up with the XR650R.
I can feel the rocks 3:52
That hill just kept going. The video makes it look flat but it was sweet. Pretty sure we shook some bolts loose on that one.
Nice run. I go to this place all the time. Love it
It is pretty fun and fast there. If you’ve been anytime lately the mud holes from quads are getting brutal.
@@braapfactory9942 yeh bro, I go all the time. Yz450f
Heading to Cedar today
Definitely tight in some spots…. Just get a few more character marks. 😎
Yz fits better than the 110 for sure.
He could have fit a big wheel because he was flat footing with both feet. Either way it probably is more comfortable and natural on that size.
Always alone in the woods with kids!😂
Paul always making it weird haha. I'm just waiting to get you in the woods big boy😬
How did it fit on the trail, pretty tight?
There were some tight spots but is manageable. The worst was finding a spot to move out the way for oncoming jeeps.
@@braapfactory9942 This is a one way trail. Were they coming the opposite way or just passing you by?
@@braapfactory9942 This is a one way trail. Were they coming the opposite way or just passing you by?
@@redbeastadventures the were coming the opposite way and I think I pulled over 1 time to let people pass. To my knowledge, I think most of the trails are 2 way. Or it at least seemed that way.
Oh man, are you using the Standard Suspension from the Starg? If you are using it for this kind of track you have to change it front and rear to different springs and settings. It is much easier to control. Did it with mine and it is amazing.
The suspension was revalved and I thought it was great for demo trail.
Love the footage, not to crazy on music. But to each his own.
I agree but it is the non copy write music from GoPro.
WOW... Says everyone that rides one. The future is here.
If you ever get a chance to try them, I would.
OK - now take it on a 50 - 60mi ride on logs and slimly rocks in stream crossings, and loose, rocky uphill's (hard enduro stuff) .. and get back to me !
I would love to know myself. They claim it lasts as long as a 450 tank which I used to ride a lot and should do what you want just fine. I think throwing a gummy tire on and tuning the throttle response and power will be just fine for that. If I get a chance I will let you know.
I'd like to see Graham Jarvis test ride it.
Gary wants to sit here and pretend he does 60 miles of hard enduro per ride, LOL
@@ChrisKAloha that would be an interesting perspective.
@@OtisFlint
Man I got to imagine those would be hill climbing beasts…..
There’s no way they’re not. Instant torque to pull up the hills!
@@braapfactory9942and no clutch, no worrying about stalling…. Just mad torque whenever ya want it…. I got to try one….
@@danimal450 what did you think about them? I want to ride them more to see how long a battery lasts how and where I ride. Stark states up to 6 hrs but I think I could get 3 realistically.
@@braapfactory9942haven’t had the chance to ride one, definitely battery life would be a big factor, I love combustion engines and the sound, but can definitely see the fun in the electric bike! I will get to a demo ride, just got to find one close to me!
Подгони старк варг один, а то не хватает
I like how he just smacks the cam lol
I couldn’t tell until I watched the video.
Is it worth it? Bike sounds crazy
Initial impression I’d say yes. I would like to rent one from them first to test on the MX track and technical trails to see how long the battery lasts. Plus how well it does in different scenarios.
i like this video, relax and awesome
the dog driver 🐶
So what did you think? Worth the price?
I want to say yes. They feel really really good on my woods setup. It is soft and plush while hitting roots and rocks and then larger kickers in the woods it holds up well. I will truly know once I test this on a track and go to the suggest MX settings.
LOVE the tracks at HP!
They are pretty fun. I can’t wait to go back but it’s a 4 hour drive for me.
Hit it with a bit of air from the inside. Be careful though
We had 60psi cold of air in there.
@@braapfactory9942 hell yeah

Couple more rides and he’ll be good to go!
Looks comfy! To the MOUNTAINS!!!!!!!!!
It’ll be a good time to do Brown Mtn
A kit n seat grip! Makes me get a semi
Not quite A kit because I do not have all the coatings like DLC and Kashima. I can tell you they felt great yesterday so I will have to do an update about them.
Just picked one up last week myself hopefully get to take it out first time tomorrow if rain stops
Very nice. Did you get to ride it?
@braapfactory9942 unfortunately no I rode it around my house for 2.2h and changed gear oil and put a 13t front sproket on it put a jd jet kit in and tuned it where I want it its nasty but no not any real ride yet but hopefully il get a chance after work this week got a fan to install still to but probably gonna wait on my braces and do fan and braces in one swoop
@@tyler2wheels Have you had any time on it yet? I tore my meniscus so haven't been able to get back on the Beta. I used the down time to send suspension off, graphics, and throw on my stabilizer.
@braapfactory9942 yea got a little time on it now it's pretty amazing I got a little video on my channel if want to see
Love the damn beta man. Ever since we did the demo day it's all I want, so glad you got one.
Riding at places I’m used too and not completely wet and slippery gave me a better feel for it. I do not regret it but needs some tweaking on suspension.
The XR650L is greater than the sum of its numbers somehow. Years of riding has brought me back to the big XR, and nothing brings a smile to my face quite like it. I feel like I’ve returned back home riding the XRL.
Despite its weight and height for smaller people like myself. It is still very easy to ride and it does everything well.
@@braapfactory9942 That’s good, because a lot of people get intimidated by it’s size. I guess you have to ride one to know what they’re really about. 👍🏻
I was on my 65 2 years ago and thought these jumps were massive now if i just hold it wide open i would be fine
That sounds like a solid plan.
@@braapfactory9942 need to go back there
Nice! I saw myself looking really slow on that track 🤣
What bike where you on? All that matters is having fun and being out there.

It is. We may go out there tomorrow.
Love my XR650l ,I've had my XR for 10 years now ,and running on new Top "Pumped"End ,I 50,000 out of the stock motor. I got some super moto wheels along the way, now I've Got the best of both worlds and so Enjoy the the RIDE. Thanks from NOR-CAL.
where is this?\
This is Cedar Springs OHV in Abbeville, SC.
Been there so many times a little bigger in person but really good for beginners and amateur riders
I agree. The jumps are built pretty safe for all levels of riders.
This place looks like fun! Might have to set next Sunday aside to go grip it n rip it!
Hopefully the weather will hold out.
Does the bike feel fast? And what bike would you recommend out of a crf300l, drz400, dr650, or xr650l. I am doing mainly road but need the bike offroad capable. Not just gravel, a little more than that like jumps and rougher terrain.
I have not had a chance to ride any that you listed besides my XR. Bigger displacement bikes will do better on the highway but I think the CRF would be the best out of the bunch for off road riding. It’s probably the lightest too.
The xr is only ~40lbs heavier than the crf and has 350cc extra displacement. It seems just as offroad capable as the 300l is. It seems a bit tall but ok. Does it feel fast and did you have any issues with it the time you had it?
@@JeremyDovin the XR is pretty tall and I am on the shorter side but I can make it work. There are companies that make lowering links for the rear suspension and the front you can adjust it in the triple clamps. The bike is deceiving because it makes tractor like torque and will pull you through just fine. However, it doesn’t make a lot up top so you shift early and use the torque to pull you.
@@JeremyDovin I also haven’t had any issues with it but have only put around 1,500 or so miles on it.
Ok thanks
that looks awesome. will come soon
It was definitely a cool track and I can’t wait to see the rest. Should be fully opening soon.
The whole XR line is maybe the most practical line of bikes on the planet. Gotta love ‘em. Call them a pig, yet everyone wants one after watching them in action. My favorite one was an 83 XR600L. That thing was modded into the best running dirt bike I’ve had, and great for the road too. It spent lots of nights racing Friday night mx at Ascot park, cruised the beach, handled the trails through Big Bear with comfort, finished Barstow to Vegas respectfully, blasted through the Riverside Raceway’s Viewfinder’s GP’s straight through with no pit stops or issues, and rode it back home 60 miles down the freeway with ease. Someone scored on that bike.. I bow to your fine XR650L..
They are all phenomenal bikes. The ease of maintenance and ride ability sold me on this bike. I do plan to drop some weight and do a few things that will tailor it towards what I need, but out of the box it is great.
@@braapfactory9942 If you haven’t already, do the Dave’s mod.
@@DeaconLucas1 I have added a lectron to it a while back.
What power mods have you done to your Gas Gas? Is it an EC or EX model?
No power mods besides adjusting the power valve. I am rebuilding soon and adding vforce reeds. I have however, Kreft Moto suspension, Mako360 with a stabilizer, and tublis for the front and rear.
Trail 7 is my favorite. Looks like you guys had fun

We really should buy a ski again just to do this one more time and then sell em
Nice to see the XR650L out there rather than the larger adv bikes. I love my XR650L and some day would love to ride the TAT on it.
I agree. The XR was a blast to ride out there and purchased it to do the TAT one day.
@@braapfactory9942 Maybe one day I'll cut the work strings long enough to make the trip. In the mean time I'm doing any BDR's that I can fit in. Did a 6 day, 1,076 mile BDR a couple years ago on the XR and it was awesome. To me it was the perfect balance of power, weight, on-road and off-road abilities. Damn, I need to retire.

If you're local maybe we can ride one day. Since the flat, I installed rim locks and haven't had an issue. I didn't think about these not coming with it and the tube ripped at the valve stem probably from braking.
