I think people will make fun of her for this statement as though it's really banal or something, but it's actually not. If you talk to people from the Balkans, the Slavic world, or Russia, they find the way Americans communicate, especially Coastal ones ie liberals, to be very pedantic, and it doesn't get thoughts across well. Then it causes people to do one of two things: 1. Fight because the words involved don't really sound like the words they would prefer to use in describing or talking about something (so even if they agree, they will end up fighting because they're using words that the other one doesn't understand or thinks are offensive). 2. Talk at cross purposes. This is a huge problem for Americans at this point. Even within the same group, there will be people not talking about the same issue. For example, if you're talking about abortion, liberals are talking about women's rights, and conservatives are talking about fetal development and the concept of when a person becomes a person. Those two topics are not the same topic at all, and because it's not the same topic, they're not listening to the other person or responding to them they may as well be pre-recorded monologues about totally separate things that just happened to be playing at the same time. Yet people spend an inordinate amount of time "debating" this. But then also because of where she's from, she knows what actual censorship is and understands the danger, the oppressiveness, and how destructive it is to create a culture where people are afraid to say things because even bringing up a topic is enough to be socially condemned forever. Many liberals and progressives will say that does not happen, like that canceling is not a real thing. But no, they just don't notice it because, firstly, they do it too, and also because they only interact with people they agree with. They never make any attempt to understand why someone would say things such as, "What do you mean you're changing your biological sex?" or why someone might bring up the obvious negative implications of illegal immigration or unchecked immigration from places with extremely low education and entirely different cultural values-some of which they would find very disagreeable if they allowed themselves to say negative things about non-white cultures. The point is, she understands this. People from the region of the world she's from, who lived under Soviet censorship, just have a different understanding of this than white, liberal, middle-class progressives in San Francisco. These are people who literally still voted for Kamala after all of this, and they cannot understand it. They're just too dense and too caught up in their own circular logic.
