This Roof Rat would visit this trap several times a day. It obviously had had a bad experience with one in the past! The pecan half on the pan finally won.

Nice, just took him a minute to realize where the door was.
all you did was make a hole in it they will clog that up the next day
Usually only someone stupid, or ignorant will remove a beaver dam.
Does anyone else think that this guy sounds like a moron??
Wish you had a tripod or one of those smaller things that wraps your camera to a tree.
You are destroying a habitat. Wetlands are a key to our biodiversity.
Thank you
I’m going through this myself and I found that a cultivator tool works great.
Is the guy somewhat intellectually imparts or something? Or this video from the XIX century? All the life that this guy is seemingly eager to hunt, kill, shoot, eat is generated by a) the biodiversity that this dam harvest and b) the water that infiltrated the soil because of the humid zone the dam created.
Exactly. I despise humans who act like they're so much an ape they are. Fucking EVOLVE.
Nice to see someone who knows how to take a dam down! Good job. Starting at the bottom and moving your way up is the only way to do it. Those who start at the top just work in their own mess and have to come back another day to get the lower stuff out after the water drops. Just wondering if you have used any Comstock swim through beaver traps?
Good job but until you find a way to get rid of the beavers they will just rebuild it again. Kind of like playing whack-a-mole but if you enjoy doing it then fair enough.
Great job
I employed a different technique that wasn't nearly as effective as your way. I stood there karate chopping the dam thing for 2 hours. Couldn't feel my dam hand after that.
Lots of sticks & water!! Great job!!
This is like VR Post 10
Actually beavers are a natural part of streams and our water system in general. By slowing down the flow of streams, the standing water in ponds allows water to seep down into the aquifer for well water, they help mitigate floods, filter water and provide habitat for a vast number of animals, fish and insects. However I realize that in some places if the water lever of their ponds gets too high that can cause problems. You may consider using one of several types of "beaver deceivers" that can regulate the water level which can save you a lot of work later on. In the very near future due to droughts and heat waves you may need that water.
Thank you very much for your work!
Why?
beavers will repair what you have done in one night
I am interested in why it is thought necessary to do this. I understand that beavers play a crucial role in forest management and biodiversity, so I am sure that destroying their dams is bad for the natural environment.
Beaver dams can also destroy a natural environment, kill vegetation, clog storm water drainage system, flood farm land, wash out roads, and contaminate drinking water. So while in many cases it's best to leave them to do their thing, in fact in some areas it's illegal to remove their dams without approval or a valid reason, other times removal of the structures, and relocation of the critters is needed to be done to prevent damages. In this case, the rising water is choking the vegetation and needs to come down.
@@archiiebarrett I understand that homes and farmland need to be protected from flooding but in forests the flooding kills the trees and creates large open areas that are vital for creating a patchwork of habitats as the forest naturally regenerates over many years.
I need you to come to my mini farm in East Tennessee and do the same thing to my stupid groundhog’s…they’re spreading and they like to be under buildings, house and structures. 😵💫.
Excellent video A+
Stop trying to control the wildlife PeeDee
How does a beaver know it's supposed to build a dam with it's life energy?
The beaver will have that back by tomorrow morning.
yep, total waste of time doing this
It’s been three years and it’s still open and flowing!
interesting video, what size of ladder opening do you use on to catch sparrows?
Why are you doing this ? Does it improve something ? Just curious.
Beaver dams help clean water and hold it for later, dryer times.
Нахуя ты плотину разрушил дебил?
I'll buy the property up stream and let the beavers build the biggest dam they want, lol!
Do it.
Those beaver will have it rebuild in no time.
Nie ma jak wrócić nad sztos wchodzi
Leave Beavers and their homes alone
How dare you.
I remember opening one beaver dam that was almost 7 feet tall in a narrow valley. Used this beaver dam to catch minnows for fishing but over time as the beaver dammed it higher caught less and less. Over a day lowered it almost 4 feet minnow fishing improved greatly !!!
Por que vc não aproveitou o que Deus deu??já estava pronta a represa Deus tinha preparado era só limpar criar o ambiente perfeito para os peixes e por os peixes.
Like a kid in the old creek busting open the beaver dams. Stay young my friend. I enjoyed the video.
Camera angle very disturbing
Beavers…”Was it Post10?…no?…then just build it back.”
Why did you destroy water habitat ?
Damn, I cannot watch this... I'm so sensitive, this gives me motion sickness after two minutes...
Why not remove the whole dam? I must not understand the purpose of doing that. Kept thinking that the best thing to do would be to send those sticks on the top down stream and just dismantle the whole thing. Is the purpose to just temporarily drain the pond?... because those beavers will just rebuild in two days and it will be back to where it was.
Where's Post 10 when we need him.
I love the commentary, great accent. Why not just take a chainsaw to it?
Have you ever been told that your voice is a spot on match for the late Slim Pickens ? One of my favorites.
That looks a little disappointing. Did the knife get very hot?
when people ask me what I wanna do for retirement, I stare off into the distance and think of this.
せっかくビーバーが作ったダムを壊すんじゃねぇよデブ
Good onya mate keep it up and make sure it is not built again mate from Aussie
this is very cool! I like how the bats kept flying out.
Tyrell does it better
This was obviously an abandoned beaver dam, I was surprised to see you leave the majority of limbs on each side of the dam opening. And where is the water going when it goes down stream?
Off his property I bet
