Which set of gears did the 731 have as static gears? Is it the sun, ring or planet gears? The PW1000G has the ring gear as static, the sun gear as input and the five planet gears as output.

My grandfather was the chief engineer at Honeywell who spearheaded the tfe731-50 project design, development, and certification. It is also on display at the Smithsonian Air & Space museum in Washington :)!
