Frank Zappa cover of "Stairway to Heaven" May, 8th, 1988 Wien (Vienna) Stadthalle audience shot VHS (video) Master Copy audience recording (audio), mastered by Zappateer boguspomp (camera shake stabilized by RUclips)
BRILLIANT ❤
DISLIKE HUH? SO TALENTED AND REFRESHING.
Takto mají znít schody do nebe
Frank, ♥️ RIP 😥
I think Zappa was a unique performer and some of his own stuff was good. Not sure why he's ruining Stairway To Heaven. Anyone can make noises while a good song is playing. I prefer Jimmy Pages guitar work!
I was at this concert!great to have seen FZ live he was the best!!!
Yebana AI myśli, że ja umiem po angielsku i mi wyłączyła tłumaczenie. Yebać ten system ! Wolność I Pokój
Am I crazy or this cover just dripping with contempt
FRANK ZAPPA GENIUSZ GENIUSZ GENIUSZ nad GENIUSZAMI KOSMOS KOCHANI na zawsze dziękuję BARDZO
...so...zappa inspired formation of "dread zeppelin"...
Frank Zappa was a genius with music, but he could never write anything close to Stairway to Heaven. He's trying to mock this song, but he still can't make it sound bad no matter how hard he tried. I'm still a huge fan of Zappa, but I'm sorry, man, no matter your depth of understanding music theory, you missed the mark here🤣 The power and energy of this song still shines through the antics
Sorry that's better than page
I saw this as satire as always Zappa
Wonder if Led Zeppelin ever played a Zappa song...seen Led Zeppelin in NYC twice and never heard one...
Che cagata
Destrozó la guitarra de page.
De hecho Zappa la convirtio en musica.
What an amazing performance
thank you for that, I was there, incredible concert, this and Bolero were the (unexpected) highlights for me!
This is Led Zappa
Freakin beautiful! He left a huge void.
When I saw this tour, FZ didn’t play through the opening parts. As the guitar solo was about to start, he strapped on his guitar leading the crowd to believe he was about to unleash a blistering solo. He then said, Surprise! And the horn section kicked into gear while he played a little rhythm and conducted. Pretty great moment.
my pop ended up being frank zappa's doctor. they ate fried clams together.
This is terrible.
Brilliant 🥰🥰🥰 I was at this concert in Vienna at the time and I still can remember ❤
❤️🔥🪜🌟⭐️
The fact that he actually hated led zeppelin and played this rendition of the song as a joke to mock LedZep is really funny
I bet zep fans and the zeppelin band members really hate this. I love it
Ich vermisse ihn, habe ihn nie live gesehen.
Always….
Zappa is the worst musician of the 20th century
"If it sounds good to you, it's bitchin'; if it sounds bad to you, it's shitty." - Frank Zappa
Best to The best
Frank's not even really playing in this. Very weird cover too.
Different strokes,for different folks
I saw them on this tour...fantastic show.
This is old-school bootleg out of the trench coat. My first concert at 6 was seeing Ray Charles for free at the Boston City Hall Plaza, but the concert I'm most proud of was seeing Frank Zappa at 15 at the Orpheum in Boston in '83.
,zappa was not a fan of zep at all, and it is no surprise to me that he wouldn't play guitar at all
This was on The Best Band You Never Heard In Your Life. A great album.
Wonder what Zappa thought of Stairway in ‘71.
Guitar Vanguard (guitar player magazine)
Zappa é a tradução da criatividade. Um guitarrista espetacular, um maestro e aquilo que deveria ser sempre uma referência
Zappa butchered this song. He recorder 30+ albums and a lot of it was hyperproduction and much too much of everything mixed into his music. After 30 minutes already tired of his music though did like some of his music albums. I dont think his music is anymore that relevant as it was told.
0WOW. I just realized. This is an audience member handheld shot. It has been digitally stabilized, fabulously. I wasn't quite understanding, the motion of some of the shots. Now I see. What a great job! And a really good sounding soundtrack. Like right off, the TV.. This was very well captured, post-produced and posted here. I had seen this Frank Zappa piece before. I love Frank Zappa. He was a true musical genius. From East Baltimore. As I lived there also. I know those stomping grounds.. From whence he came. And the restaurant neighborhood called Little Italy. Oh, how we loved, going there. And then Jewish corn beef row. Just blocks away. Then there was the Greek part of town. And those wonderful restaurants. Oh… Those wonderful restaurants. How I miss them days. Gone forever. But I got to experience it. Back in the 1970s and throughout the 1980s and 90s.. Until I left in 2014,, forever. The memories deep and bittersweet. You can never go back. All are gone. Everyone is now but a memory. From my past life. My life feels like it has been Terminated in Texas by Texans. Natively fertilized and hatched, Texans. RemyRAD
I love when the horns play the guitar line
funny, even though Frank is trying to do everything to underline his point , and mock Led Zeppelin - the original material is so strong that it still pulls through ( very good singer). Frank Z should just have played it with his super arrangement without all the "sound effects". I love both Frank Z and Led Z
@6:16 shit gets real!
Guy changed my life in 1966, still loving his influence
Wer hört das heute noch 😢😢😢😢
I miss Frank!
What a visionary the one and only Frank waz. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
