How many songs by bands from that time, the demented '90's, do you still play now, and I mean, often...and enjoy......right...that's got rid of quite a few of the so-called hugely over-hyped 'Big Names' - now how many do you play and think 'Aaah, good times...' and then rightly dismiss as nostalgic irrelevancies...then that leaves just one band who's songs don't sound dated, who still speak to you and what you were, are and have become...and that band is Gene...
they really were great, underestimated and not fully recognised apart from the few. still have the greatest hits blaring from the car with no one knowing what i am listening to.
Does anyone else hear "True Faith" when it starts, then hear "Bizarre Love Triangle" when the rhythm kicks in, and then "Temptation" when the vocals start? It's an orgy of New Order.
It's not like Electronic invented this style. Also, music is *all* copying, that's not generally a very valid criticism. Both groups were part of a dance revolution of the time, both were heavily influences by other things...balearic was seeping into UK culture to a huge degree, all the music our of Ibiza mixed with late-80s acid house and indie rock...great stuff. ;)
The most underestimated band ever. Brilliant.
Amazing! Wow!!

Beautiful song, pure class, haunting song, Anyone know who the female is?
barney is cool as fuck. love the GIO GOI jacket he is wearing.
this is the DNA mix. the studio version is better.
Sounds so much like New Order

9 people don't know good music
Now it's 10, but they are still idiots, even if they can manage to get to double figure status...

Fuck this remix. In most cases nothing is better than the original version.

Pure class defies time...
I bet this was a huge gay anthem back in the day.

Wow και ξανα ματα Wow !!!!
1 of the few albums that I listened to from start to finish & loved every track on the first listen. And they're even better now.
it brought tears to my eyes
The Dr is right. Fantastic band who will always be my favourite. Always
We DO love you ;) sometimes. But thanks for the shout out. Since we lost the 'Empire' musical dominance is all we have left..lol!
right on!! I agree with you :)
Ugh! It doesn't even have Johnny Marr's killer acoustic guitar strum/solo towards the end! Studio version is way better...
None of the UK chart shows were ever live. Or very, very rarely. Sometimes just the vocals. Note the lack of instrument cables. ;)
