World Time Attack 2013 Mad Mike and 6 Rotor RX4

Mad Mike returns the 6 rotor PPRE RX4 to the pits after putting it through its paces. Sounds insane but I still prefer the scream of his Red Bull 26B powered RX7!
World Time Attack 2013 Drift Practice Crash

After car 9 spun then proceeded to smoke the bags visibility was reduced to a minimum, cars 21 and 28 had a close call near missing the stationary falcon. However cars 10 and 11 collided whilst taking evasive action to clear car 9, thankfully no one was injured, the cars unfortunately didn't escape as easily.
No drag Race?

Why is boot always open?
Radiator is in the boot
loud as hell
Whats the rear wheels name?
Could be wrong, so dont tear me a new one if so but I thought they sold the Hurricane to a private buyer? This team looks rather new to working on the car and in a box in general. So no hate on the unorganized stop.
The number (13B 26B etc) refers to engine size, the A (in 10A or 12A etc) stands for awesome and the b stands for badass ;)
they are just practicing, right?
No the event is based on the fastest lap time so they can take as much time as they like within their session to prepare. At this level they have around three laps of optimum tyre grip before needing to pit and change tyres again.
How many minutes are they allowed for pit stop? They seem frantically rushing around and quite disorganized. I notice many comments defending the pit crew, stating that they have no hurry since its a time attack competition and this is not like a nascar or indy or formula one or other type race where time is critical, but they do seem a bit disorganized and unprepared.
There is no time limit but they only have a certain amount of sessions which are timed. They generally wait for a clear track to put down a quick time without being interrupted by traffic
Any idea, how they placed in the competition? 1st, 2nd, 3rd ... top 10?
+autoparts321 This was taken during the 2014 WTAC The RE Amemiya RX7 finished 5th with 1:27.3410. The winning time was the Tilton Racing EVO with a 1:24.8412
Poor Yates, poor little hachi was immaculate, so much time and dedication destroyed by a fuckhead bogan cutting god damn hoops on a drift track, biggest dick move ever!
I cant believe they are only using advan A048's that's a street tire. What are the restrictions on this series?
warpiggy23 Has to be a treaded street legal tire. A lot of people choose Hanook semi slicks as well
sponsor by yokohama, so only advan neova are used, ad08r for most class or the other i think it call as05(not familiar with tire code) for pro/pro am/open class
I Love OverDriveTeam
Beast mazdaspeed baby
Lol what f$&&&& disaster.
Wow these guys are pros. That's like a 20 min oil change.
Guys, this isn't a NASCAR Pit stop, this is Time Attack.. There's no real rush to get the driver back out there considering they're just looking for the fastest Lap of the day. It's more important to make sure shits correct rather then rush.. Regardless of that, they looked like amateur Pit guys no doubt, but most likely professional car builders full time.
beobe99 because, murka.
Mate I understand pit stop better than you think and that's just a unorganised mess, tripping over each other, nobody seems to be practised in what the hell they are trying to do. So yes it a JOKE hahahahah
This pit crew definitely needs massive improvement in leadership, duty assignments, coordination, choreographing, communications, equipment, timing, knowledge, training and apparently a lot more practice. Too many crew members just standing around like groupies or spectators not knowing what to do next.
patw52pb1 This is 1 lap racing they arent trippin
Mercedes, Silver arrows watch out !
What a joke
I dont quite think you understand time attack....
nice set up guys
6 rotor would be a 39b
Depending on housings used and internals really. You can slap all the housing together you want but dosnt make it a B Rotary
26b is a 4 rotor
"Falcon Drivers"....
doesnt look that horrible though..
f you didn't notice, they are missing a flager or lamp to indicate to slow down, or the driver of the next car didnt care or saw it.
"fwwwaken ell"
he should of pulled over instead of trying to recover. also he should of known that it was a high speed corner i mean seriously, his entry speed was fast and he spun out. did he think the other cars would enter slower than him not to mention that there was smoke everywhere and the 2 guys barely got by and after that, he made no effort to leave the track or drive away from the corner's exit
but it is the officials' fault, a yellow flag could have prevented all of this, i don't know his situation, it could have been a mechanical error within the car or he could have stalled after the burnout for all i know, that could explain why he was stuck on the track
xxCAMBOEDIBOIxx look if somebody's after you doing a tadem with you and you spun out okay then i get the clue that he does a burnout 2 times but 1 there was nobody there! 2 you know if you pul big smoke like that at a corner thats high speed then your not a smart person to look after your drift people that riding there to and 3 your right to that the officials are to slow to look whats going on! and last he should pul on the sand cuz if there are people drifting YOU SHOULD KNOW! that they take their line and not counting that HE is on the track!
TH3S3MM3IST3R i cant tell if you're agreeing with me or you just overlooked my first comment...
another crash that could of been avoided , organizers are fuckin spanners for letting cars out so close together, Marshals are fuckin idiots for not jumping on the Flags alot sooner and the flacon shouldnt be doing donuts in the middle of the track after he spun its not a fkin burnout comp. And props to the 31 for getting out that!
What are you talking about, "can't take the shit very well"? No one's ragging on me lol.
Ok fair call my spelling is not 100%. But hey off a cell phone and in a rush I really didn't care at that point in time. My point is still there. Just saying don't bag on some one unless you know the full story. Because it seem's like you can't take the shit very well you're self so why dish it out?
Nope I wouldn't of driven into that smoke, you more aswel have a blind fold on and try drift. Lol lesson will be learnt. Bet they wont be doing that anytime soon
Does any pedigree really matter when you make a stupid, show-off move putting everyone else as well as himself at risk? Given that it's not uncommon for drifters to smash the throttle in a high gear through a corner, leaving behind a massive trail of smoke, the driver of the 86 had probably long overcome his fear of going through a smoked corner; trusting that the other driver was already a few corners ahead. You're right about the lack of action from track staff. I hope they learn from this
one more time in english?
How are they ricers? Plowing through smoke while following another driver or continuing the track off memory is the norm in any drift event and even more so during the practice runs. The Ford driver and flaggers are the only ones here at fault. No driver expects a car sitting on the track at the end of a smoke cloud. He should've left it in gear when he spun back around and left or just continued off the track the way he was heading before #28 almost hit him
Tracks are for racing. This makes no sense to me.
It's GM's Australian division, yeah. The '04-'06 Pontiac GTO is actually a rebadged Holden Monaro with some minor changes.
Isn't Holden GM?
You're* does not/doesn't* by* That should help you next time you say someone doesn't know anything. Plus, He is completely right, except for #1.
what a fucking idiot. they should round him up for repair bill. when I stack it or spin out I get off the track pronto..scary as hell everyone flying past
Fucking help!
Wtf?
Alot of misinformed people here. The driver of this car has more racing pedigree than the comments section put together. The fail here is of the track officials, WHY where FIVE cars allowed to go through after the initial white car spun... ????? Why would you drift into a corner not being able to see is beyond me, blame the red mist I spose.
the guy who did the burnout is stupid but the track should've had a corner worker slowing the guys / stopping the guys before entry. Also... what is the point of the worker at the start line making them wait if they don't let the guys in front finish first? I understand letting them go as the pair in front finishes but that was like the FIRST corner. Geez.
Who invited this dickbeater in the boat ? could'nt drive a finger up his ass let alone drift two brilliant cars wrecked by a tosser doing donuts what a joke :( !!!!!!!!
Thought you would know better than that being a drifter, pointing fingers in the wrong direction. haha
Typical holden/ford v8 wanker. Cause a hazard on a corner just to be a tool and ruin it for someone else.
You forgot "Insert penis into arse"...
