    How much experience should the reps have then? Couldn't you argue the older SDRs aren't great examples because they're the ones who couldn't get promoted?

    Hiriing and training SDRs is very much crucial. Assessing the SDR's interest in the subject matter is very important. Today's SDRs needs to get into the skin of the game where continuous upgrades in subject matter knowledge matter a lot. Secondly, SDRs must and must be trained for the right craft. Companies are investing a lot in automation and that is good. But without a good craft, an SDR is like a soldier carrying a sword without sharpness. "Craft" is a key reason why SDRs are struggling, I believe.
