That harmony is so touching, and the melody is just wonderful. Brilliant song.

My favorite version of this song. George Harrison & Willie Nelson did pretty good versions also.
Gostei
Their career lasted forty-two years. They covered a French song just like Bobby Darren's cover of La Mer, became Beyond the Sea.

Their harmony was almost hypnotic. Blessed to have been born in mid 50s. That's a fact. Our music will always live on.
I like kanny
Their original version of this is by far the best one. Two harmonic voices and an orchestra showing how capable they were with any accompaniment, but not forgetting r & r is here to stay 👏 💖
The original version of this song was composed and recorded in 1995 by french singer Gilbert Bécaud as "Je t'appartiens" (I belong to you). The Everly brothers version is only a cover with new lyrics in english.
@@78Dipar I stand corrected, the original is indeed in French. I'm referring to the 1st (only?) recording the Everlys did of the tune back late 50's, in New York
@@annettemoyle6051 Yes it was one of the first Everly brothers' recording for Warner after leaving Cadence Records in 1960.
Who could really disliked this song ? I am appalled but NOT surprise in a world of backward thinking people.
