If cuddling, carrying, holding, being with you all the time is important, there are Ragdolls, who mostly do these things naturally. But even they don't come with a guarantee, and their lack of independence means most breeders won't sell to you if you're away at work all day, unless you get two (or have other, very mellow, cats). I have always succeeded at getting my cats accustomed to sleeping with me, which is what I like. Each one has done it his own way, though, as is to be expected. Another option for cuddlers is to get an adult cat. At our shelter the cuddly cats go straight to people and are very affectionate. The aloof ones may become cuddly, too, of course.

My cats love watermelon in the summertime so when I eat watermelon I also give them a lil. Not very much just enuf. The both sleep with me all the time They were feral I rescued them 4 years ago n now we have the best love connection but when company comes they disappear even if it's my kids . I now know it's because we live alone

Interesting. I must have always had some really weird cats. I have always treated them like a mix of Momma Cat and Dog Owner. My cats' recall is better than my dogs. And all my cats let me pick them up, hold them, medicate them when needed and generally care (and love on) for them. And all my cats and dogs LOVE to be caressed and loved on. Their tail tells me all I need to know about their emotion. They all sleep with my husband and I and will wait their turn patiently for a treat, just like the dogs. Or maybe I'm just a weird owner. 🤷🏻 I always enjoy these types of articles because I always learn SOMETHING. Thank you for the effort you put into this.

Backwards for my brother and sister cats. Louie and Izzy we're tiny when we inherited them. Louie would always burrow into me and lick my face since 2 mos.. Izzy is the loner and won't seek affection.

we have a cat at work which is deaf i think & very nervous been around for about years now i only just started giving treats about a month ago & starting to do four of the things in this video but still very nervous cat i think it's more nervous because i think it's deaf

It's kinda funny, my Mother is a Cat-Lady and has 3 Guy Cats. I'm a Cat Daddy (Guy) and I have 2 Queens. I wonder about that sometimes. I've had a couple Guys over the Years and I really miss them, but there's something different about Guy/Gal Cats and I gravitate toward the Ladies. Maybe the urge to be closer to the opposite Sex goes beyond Humans (don't go taking that the wrong way! It's not meant to mean THAT). To Me, Kitties & Doggos are a gift to Humanity.

I have 2 cats. My 16 yr.old female grey tabby , who I rescued at birth (a barn cat & the runt of the litter) never likes to be held. But at night, I have a pillow above my pillow, where she comes to sleep. She starts off kneading on the pillow, which I call dancing, then continues on my hand. I almost lost her 2 months ago until I took her to the vet & through tests found out she needed to be on thyroid meds. That explained her weight loss & now she's doing fine! 😊

I have been catsitting on & off for a month to 6 weeks for a beautiful female Calico. She hasn't let me pet her yet. However she has been getting closer in distance to me when my male tuxedo rubs up against me. I've been caring for her, feeding her, & cleaning her cat pan, yet she bonded with my cat! 😅 I talk to her often & she does respond with "meows".

There was this one time when I was living by myself, my female cat literally saved my life. I have depression, and on that certain day the depression kicked real hard. I was crying on my bed, thinking to just end my life. I had a cutter right on the table beside my bed. I was that close to end everything. But then my cat walked to me and stood up, put her front paws on my shoulder as if she was hugging me and comforting me. I broke down and cried even harder, but I'm still alive until today. I've been with her since she was still 1-2 months old (found her in the middle of the road almost got hit by a car on a rainy night), and she turned 11yo last November ❤️

We have a pair of brothers are litter mates. I had to bottle feed the one so he cuddles. The other one was not rejected and he came in a month or so later. The bottle fed cuddles as much as possible. The other one will lay with me and my Hubby wants his brother to sit with him. He likes being petted but on his turn, yhe cat not Hubby of course Hubby is loosing his hearing and I think he doesn't realize just how loud he is being sometimes.

I live in a rather dense apartment complex and so naturally there's a lot of cats in it. There's this black cat I've become almost best friends with who will jump out the bushes at me when I go on my daily walks and will start rubbing up on me. I've known this boi for like two years now, he's not homeless or hungry or anything like that he just wants attention but he doesn't do it with everybody I'm just special I guess 🙂

I always thought that some cool fresh air on a nice sunny day was good & healthy for a cat. My cat is a indoor cat and on a nice sunny day when it's in the 50's or 60's and even in the 40's I'll open the window a crack when I go out. When I come back my fur baby is always alert and frisky and her nose cold and moist. 😺
