THE 413 EFFECT I was a Christian and when I was becomeing an atheist I would pray to God every night to give me some kind of sign so I can put all my faith in him, after doing this for a solid two months I figured out he isn't real and I was going through all this pain and turmoil felling gulity about my sins and freaking out for losing faith, and besides God is a logical fallacy in general

+Joshua Portillo - Hmmm, okay. I can speak from personal experience that I am still waiting on God for unanswered prayers that I've had for YEARS, so believe me...I understand how you feel. In fact, I was just talking about this during my church's weekly Men's Bible Study this past Monday. What we must realize (and ACCEPT, which IS a harder pill to swallow at times) is that God moves on HIS time, not ours. He needs to know that we trust Him EVEN IF our prayer(s) aren't answered right away, whether that's in hours, days, months, or even years. HE knows what's best for us, Joshua. Always has, always will. After all, He created us, so He knows our prayers even before we ask them (Matthew 6:8). 😉 The Word of God provides MANY examples of men (Joseph, Moses, Gideon, Job) and women (Hannah, Ruth, Esther) who had to wait on God's timing and provision to come to fruition. True, some of them had to wait YEARS before their prayers were answered...but they WERE answered. Their FAITH stayed strong through the waiting season, for they KNEW that when God said it, He MEANT it. I'm gonna stop for now, but before I leave you, I want to encourage you to hang in there. Keep the FAITH! CONTINUE to stand on God's promises. Remember Jeremiah 29:11, Isaiah 40:31, and Hebrews 13:5 (Google 'em if you don't know 'em off hand). Don't lose HOPE. Surround yourself with others who will ENCOURAGE you and speak LIFE (not negativity) into your life!
