Nice review, you answered many of my questions and I've decided to buy it. Thank you for your review!
Brilliant review, really professional and concise. Thanks for taking the time to produce this.
Do you think that it could fit Godox V1 together with your camera and 2 lenses shown in the video?
Yes, If the speed light doesn't fit in the camera compartment it can go in the top pocket.
@@rogerradstromphoto @rogerradstromphoto Thanks! I've stumbled upon the video afterwards where guy fitted Godox V1 in the top pocket which is even better for me. Just ordered it, it will serve an amazing purpose as daily "backpack".
Is there a way to fit an ipad pro 11inch in it?
No, I don't think so
With the exception of some Leica, Fujifilm and the Nikon ZF/C cameras which make a 'fashion statement', all cameras are tools. It's often quite difficult , at first glance, to distinguish between the different models of any particular manufacturer I agree with you.........The most important element of the photographic process takes place in the brain of the person behind the camera.
Perhaps not explicitly explained in the review, but you can fold away the divider between the top and bottom section. It cannot be removed entirely, though. It is stitched on the back side and velcro on the other three sides. You can flip it up or down, but up is better. There is limited ability to still use the other pieces but only if you flip the divider up and these pieces have to go on the right (the same side as the tripod holder). I can fit my Z8 with 600 PF attached, which I bring in and out from the top opening without having to open the bottom opening. To the right of that at the bottom (same side as the tripod holder), there is enough room with the other pieces to make space for two smaller lenses or one decent size lens and a strap/raincover/etc. You will need to open the bottom opening all the way to get at those. As for total loadout/weight, I would say Z8 with the 600 PF, a smaller lens such as a 24-70f4, strap, rain cover, an extra battery, extra memory card, a couple of filters, and a very small water bottle is pretty much the most you'll want to do with this bag. I would not recommend putting a monopod/tripod with that loadout. If you want to bring a mono/tripod, you'll have to ditch that equivalent weight in camera gear/water, i.e., get rid of the second lens and water bottle. 7lbs total weight of gear is about the limit.
👀
Hello! Thanks for the video. You said something about the depth. I need the depth of the bag to be around 7.5". Would you be able to measure the exact depth of the main compartment? Thanks in advance!
Would like to see your studio space.
Can u use camera at museum?
Yes, often. not always though
Tip for you. If you are doing a review, show some close ups of whatever you are reviewing.
Hope you’re doing well. Miss your regular content posts.
@@BarryRalston Thank you 🙏. I just took a (needed) break. Hopefully I will have a video up next week.
Nice video and nice camera bag! I have been looking out for a compact yet sturdy sling bag. I think this checks all the boxes that I need in a camera bag so compact. Can it accommodate a Sony A7IV with a Tamron 35-150mm lens mounted??
Honestly I think you are carrying way too many things in this little bag. I used to carry as many things as you do and it was not a very pleasant situation for my back after running around for a whole day. Also since I travel mostly with groups we never are at the right place at the right time so I cannot really do proper photography. So I decided that shooting video is more effective for remembering the places we visited and for camera gear I bring my canon g7xii, a mini tripod and that’s all. Obviously I cannot be filming and taking photos at the same time so I made my life easier by downsizing. This bag though fits way too many things. I am really impressed.
This review is awesome. Kudos from Korea. Made my mind to purchase it. :)
thank you for this, and thank you for showing where the @#$! waist belt went. I like the bag so far, but haven't taken a long trip with it yet. I most like that I can get my camera gear and a fair amount of computer gear in the same bag. I ordered the small ulanzi sling to go with it, and it looks like it will fit in the upper area. But thanks again for making the video!
I'm considering buying this. Thanks for your video!
looks like the three extended stacked legs could be shortened to a single hiking stick?
exactly what i was looking for! i was searching if the ulanzi clip fits on shimoda backpack as i have same bag. This video helped me with that purchase. also.......I have countless bags too, absolute bag nerd. Always searching for the perfect one... cheers for the video
Hi, this product isblowing my mind! How does it compare to the Ulanzi ST-27 and the MA26 though?
Best video on this lens!
Genius edit !! You made an ordinary image into something much more interesting. I love how you turned on the lights. Perhaps you could make another video showing that 'trick' in more detail?
Thank you. Good Idea, I will try to make a video about the "trick"
Though it is not so much mountain 😋
Swedish, rounded mountains..
Wow such a landscape
Yea, It's really beautiful. But very hard to photograph .. :-)
thanks for a great review. I just ordered my BP10 and look forward to using it as my large bag. As for a small sling or messenger I highly recommend the Wotoncraft Pilot 10L. Great bag and I can hold even my Z9 with a couple lenses in it. 100-400mm can even stand up in it (if needed). But I try to keep it light and minimal with my Zf and a couple manual lenses most of the time, along with many other small items.
I love this lens. We just did a 30 day family vacation in Sicily (10 family members from age 75 to 5) and this was the only lens I took. I didn’t miss my 45 liter backpack of lenses one bit! This is an amazing lens.
I can not agree more. For the size, weight and price it is truly amazing. How was Sicily for photography?
Greay picture, lucky guard
He was happy with the picture I sent him. Nice guy also. I am not sure he showed to his horse though :-)
How was the experience of using the RX100II vs your usual Sony a7IV?
There are pros and cons. The rx100 is smaller and more stealthy than the A7IV so I can be more discreet shooting with it, at least I feel mor invisible 🙂 I don't have to ( e.g. I can't) worry about lens choises and accessories and can focus only on the composition which sometimes is positive. The biggest difficulty is to capture enough light with the smaller sensor.
Hey! How did you feel with all that gear there? I have this sturdy backpack but am scared of getting all my stuff there, did you feel safe?
Hi. I felt very safe everywhere except for Casablanca. The people in Morocco are generally speaking very nice and helpful. I think that Casablanca have some "huge city problems" with big differences between rich and poor and was the only place I visited where I felt like I have to look over my shoulder. You can read about it on my blog if you like: www.rrphoto.eu/morocco
@@rogerradstromphoto thanks will do!!
Interesting to hear your thoughts on this lens...a "Swiss Army knife" sounds perfect. I bought this lens on discount a while ago as an upgrade to my old Lumix 14-140mm which I had for my M4/3 system. I don't have a camera body for the Tamron yet, hehe, planning to get an A7CII.
Hahaha, I did the same thing a few years ago when I switched from DSLR to mirrorless. I had two lenses before I had a body :-)
Hi Roger, May I ask about the Tamron 17-28: When you zoom it, does the lens extend like the 28-200 does?
No, It's not really internal zoom because the front glass moves a little bit but it doesn't extend
When you did the bracketed shots around 5.30 mins, did you merge them in LR or just choose which shot you thought was the best? I sometimes use a monopod when I'm on a photowalk. It can also be used as a walking stick to help me balance when I'm on rocky/uneven/slippery ground
@@simpix7683 I merged 2 out of 3 in LR. I didn’t need the brightest.
Looks like an amazing place. I guess your 17-28 was used for most of your photos?
It is amazing. Actually not, I only used the 28-200.
There have been a few cameras with built-in ND Filters. Although many are point & shoots. Very few aimed at the higher end ILC market. The Sony ZV-1 and ZV-1 m2 both had build in ND filters. Ricoh also had built in ND filters for a few models.
Yes I know. Some of the rx100 cameras from Sony also had built in nd's but I don't know one full frame camera that have it.
good review thx, been thinking about this lens since release
Thanks. It's a very versatile lens.
Great work. Are you still offering the Travel 1 editing preset?
Thank you. Yes, the presets are available on my website rrphoto.eu. (but hold on for a week, they will be updated within a week or two). The "Travel 1" preset is included in the "basic 1" pack.
Would this bag (not expanded or full to the brim) fit underneath an airplane seat?
Well, Not according to most airlines restrictions I guess. It would probably fit but you won't have any room for your feet. In the overhead compartment it shouldn't be any problem.
I think that there's merit to taking waterfall shots at fast, medium and slow shutter speeds. Have you ever tried shooting multiple exposures of the same waterfall scene and blending/merging them in LR? My wife and I missed the trip to Ouzoud when we were in Morocco. The tour company put us on the wrong bus and we went to a different destination........Ait Ben Haddou, the ancient fortified village used as a location in Game of Thrones. Thanks to your images, we don't need to go to Ouzoud next time we are in Morocco !!
Thank you 😊 I went to Ait Ben Haddou also, interesting place but difficult for photography (at least in harsh daylight) I have tried blending images of waterfalls but it was a long time ago and hopefully my editing skills have been improved since then so maybe I should give it another try😊
Cool experience

Ordered the tripod at the end of Mai and still hasn't been delivered, that's a shame
Sorry to hear. I had the same issue with a backpack, Try to email them and ask if they know when it will be shipped. I did and they answered me quickly and polite. service@ulanzi.com
I've attached to all my cameras Peak Design's *Dual Plate*. It is compatible with Manfrotto, Arca Swiss and PD too! I use it extensively with the Capture clip, or tripods etc and it's great. Peak Design have been innovating in so many areas, and lately many new companies are getting out products that are heavily inspired or just copies. Tripods, bags, even straps..
I also have the Dual plate. The Ulanzi Falcam f38 is also compatible with arch Swiss and Manfrotto and have the benefit that you can have quick releases on things like tripods, gimbals and straps. Therefor I use that. The Peak Design is great if you don't need that.
I have been looking at this backpack and I think the straps inside are there as a safety in case you are wearing it and you forgot to completely close the main zipper. That way it won’t fall open all the way and spill your gear.
Could be
getting one in bout 3 weeks !!! Never realized , Tamron makes some good lenses
you won't be disappointed, I'm sure.
Today I came across your video, we'll be going there in Sept. and I've been having hard time deciding what lenses to bring. Great news is I have the same set-up that you do so I feel so much better now. Thank you for a wonderful video I appreciate the camera tips and the humor. You've gained another subscriber.
Thanks a lot and have fun in Prague
Cool
I guess the difficulty of trying to take 'portfolio' images on an organized group tour is the lmited opportunity to deviate from the planned itinerary or schedule. Nevertheless, you have some beautiful desert photos here. Where did you find the music to accompany the video of the desert scenes?
Thanks. The music is from the RUclips music library.
Wonderful photos! 🙂
Thank you
Dear Roger, thanks for the video. I'm about to order this but I have a question, do the hinges get loose after opening and closing them over and over? If so, are you able to tighten them again? Thanks in advance :)
Thanks. I have had mine for over a year now and nothing have loosened. I don't think that you will have any issues for a long time. They have a new version ot now which is a bit smaller. Check it out here: www.ulanzi.com/collections/phone-tripods/products/foldable-pocket-phone-tripod-m007
@@rogerradstromphoto Hi, did you bought the newer version? Which one is better and more versatile in your opinion?
