She is a very good singer, ex-wife of Andrew Lloyd Webber (if I am not mistaken, need to google 😉). The musical still in running @London when I was there around March/April last year … but I watched Tina instead. It was very good & I was glad I watched that because she passed on in May when I came back to Malaysia 😢.

@@josiemelody-2-U I cannot remember the name of the singer who played the part of Christine in the performance I saw. It was after the Sarah Brightman era though. I still have the souvenir programme but it is generic and does not list the performers' names. 🤥

Hi Brian, yes after months in hiatus am now back on playing and recording. I must keep to this momentum 😆. I get your point, these days there are many songs played using many orchestral instruments esp those in movie and gaming soundtracks. It sounded like a full fledge orchestration just like any classical songs. However i do know that some instruments likes saxophone, electric guitars or digital instruments are frowned upon in classical songs but there were/are many orchestra composers include them in their composition. For an example, in Barry White orchestra he has electric guitar and bass guitar. It sounded so good 😊. Anyway thanks for sharing your thoughts with me. These days it is hard to draw the line by what’s classical genre. Oh, and thank you for the compliment. I am glad you like the electone rendition.

Just thinking more on this subject, the Proms series of concerts whch are held in London every year and which are considered to be classical music concerts, do often include drum kits and saxophones where required. The saxophonist Jess Gillam was invited to play a solo spot at the last night of the proms in 2018.

@@AlexUK2 Hello again Brian / Alex (which name do you prefer me to address you 🤔), I totally get you. These days the orchestra composers no longer limit themselves to only certain instruments. As long as the combinations are great & brings out the great dynamic of the song why not incorporate the more modern instruments that were not used in classical time ? One should follow the trends / advancements of new instruments otherwise will be losing out in creating something great. Everything should be approach with an open mind.

I browse through your channel (latest videos), I saw that you mostly do guitar, keyboard & singing. Electone is a hard instrument to play… I think my level is intermediate but I felt good to hear that you categorize me as an advanced player. It took many hours of practice & effort to perfect a song esp at the beginner level 😅😅 that’s really a killer level picking up electone😒. However once I get it, it’s so much fun & playing the electone enable me to understand other instruments so picking up drumming wasn’t difficult at all. It’s a pleasure reading your comment & chatting with you about playing 😄. Thank you for dropping by & penning me your thoughts. Thank you 😊. This video has copyright infringement but I think could be due to the orchestra video clips…. Or maybe from the song title. This song is rather popular compared to Possession of the Spirit. Luckily it wasn’t barred from viewing, just cannot monetize… I never know on what ground I was being strike hence for all my videos I just do what my heart wants without considering copyright issues.

@@josiemelody-2-U Yes it's hard to know unless they give you the details on the strike, if it's a music distribution company it could be more likely it's because you played it so well and it's so on point with the original song that RUclips assumes it is the original song lol, I'd have loved to have used this one as well! Although I don’t really understand what / how you did it (I did popped in your channel) but I think the animated scenes were really cool ! It looked like a lot of hours & efforts were put into it 😲. Regarding your question; yes for this cover surprisingly I did not get copyrighted infringement notification, unlike most of my covers 😭. May I know on what you based you assumption on?

I didn't base that off anything, I just guessed 😆, I think your version is different enough that you didn't get notified. That's good news XD🙌😆. Hi 👋 Thanks for watching my videos 🙂. My electone model is ELS02C so your model will not be able to use the accompaniment. In addition Yamaha data cannot be shared / copied as it’s locked by Yamaha. Please consult your teacher, he/she will be able to help you.

There are 2 ways we can operate the pre-programmed rhythm sequence & voicing. 1) program & allocate all the rhythm and voicing to the number sequence 1-16 in yellow-orangey light. We can change the number with our right foot where we rested on a volume control pedal. On that pedal there is 2 knobs. Left knob is to activate glide effect and right knob is to change sequence. Just give it a tap or push while playing to change sequence. 2) we can preprogrammed the sequence change by adding in the bar calculation (time consuming but is worth the effort esp performing). As you can see from my electone the running number on my left side is indicating the number of bars I am playing. I can program the sequence to change to voice number 7 at bar 20, voice number 8 at bar 22, voice number 2 at bar 32 etc. And yes, you’re correct in assuming that we have to be right on timing with our performance when we play using this pre-programmed data. If we are not playing on time when the sequence change, it will make awful sound & usually our listeners can tell that we have played inaccurately 😅. You may googled ELS02C pic to take a look at the right foot pedals to understand my explanation. For right foot we control 2 pedals - left pedal is for pitch bend, right pedal is volume control. Most time, we rest right foot on volume control pedal. Some of my later videos you can see almost both pedals. I hope I have answer you query 😃.

My apologies that I wasn’t able to post regularly .. life has been a little hectic lately & when has free time I just want to do nothing 😅😅. After months of not playing the electone the fingers & foot were a little out of sync 😩 … I better not be lazy for too long. The thing about musical instruments.. it needs constants practice… it’s not something you learned and chucked it aside thinking the skills will forever be there without practice 😅😅. Thank you very much for the nice comment 😄. You have sharp hearing skills. The reason for not in its original keys is due to the difficulty level. Most of my covers were played at intermediate to near advance level (there are few advance level songs here.. when I was in ‘crazy’ mood😜 I will practice till half dead & then recorded it for my music fans to share my achievements 😉). Electone is a hard instrument to play 😅😅. Till today I still struggle with many songs esp those in jazz / Latin genre…. 😣

Before I picked drumming as my 2nd instrument I did thought of buying the Clavinova 🎹 but I changed my mind because I wanted to experience playing instruments from different ‘family’ so I chose percussion family. In couple of years later, if I am able to cope I might pick something from the string family😉. It’s fun playing different instruments, it give different feels to the player🥰🥰🥰.
