I gotta say, I think the relatively poor showing of the Tomcats here was mostly not about any skill deficiency or inferiority of the Tomcat, but was instead all about having to use Sparrows as the main BVR missile. Sparrows are notoriously fickle and put the pilot carrying them at a big disadvantage due to the need for nose-on-target all the way in. You gotta initially steer AMRAAM's and R-77's too, but there is a range where they go PitBull and guide themselves. Sparrows just don't have that and this makes them almost more dangerous to the pilot firing them as to the enemy jets.

I always thought that the Mig29 vs F14 matchup would be much closer, I guess the 51st members train very hard to achieve these dominating results!

There is one part of this that is not realistic, two f-15s getting shot down. Seriously you really think that Yemen of all countries could pull off something like that. They can barely keep the jets flying let alone train their pilots in proper tactics. Not to mention Israeli pilots are some of if not the best pilots in the world with more flight hours and experience than Yemen, Iran, Syria or whoever wants to challenge them in that region.

Cinematic nerd analysis: 0:27 - text, sound effect, and coloring looks like the startup of the Scud Hunter video by this same guy 0:41 - angle reminds me of Police video also by the same guy, where the mirage wingman deploys fighting wing right 0:50 - sound effect might be inspired by his giraffe video where the mirages break formation from the tanker (same for the Scud Hunter video, just F-15Es) 1:02 - almost exactly the Scud Hunter video startup sequence 1:23 - slightly similar to the f-14 shot in police 1:46 - a very "giraffe" shot - lens dirt, gray palette, motion blur, low flying 2:06 - chaff sound effects from Police at 6:17 the furball scene is almost entirely original, with some similar missile sound effects to his previous cinematics Really encourage you guys to watch Hornet Productions' other videos, some are even better than this one

Cool! Only thing that bugs me is the strike eagles turning and burning with drop tanks still attached. Of course a lightweight fighter at 40% internal is going to win against F-15E with 100% internal + CFTs + whatever remains in drop tanks
