Jeremy Britt will always be my Sherlock but Clive has a special place in my heart too.

Before I start watching ... all the lights are on and the dogs are indoors with me. This is the only series that creeped me out as a kid so ... here goes on the review.

For me, the definitive Sherlock Holmes. And a fine, very underrated actor.

I LOVE this version! I have a good many of the originals. Any idea where i can find the extra episodes with Andrew Sachs as Watson? This is the only series i find to match up to Jeremy Brett. (Basil Rathbone is good, but i don't think it's as good)

This set is amazing --- I have them all, transcoded to mp3 files and listen to them in the car---at work -- even sometimes at home. This series is fantastic.

I have the complete set on cassette - and now, everytime I watch, or hear another version of sherlock holmes, it doesnt' beat Clive Merrison + Michael Williams. The best sherlock holmes.

The hands at 2:30 are the same as 7:35 & very nice ones they are lol.

Those aren't gems -- they're the clear pebbles you put at the bottom of water features! Sholtos, you've been duped! This is a very different interpretation of character to the Canon and the Granada version. Fascinating!

One of my favourite scenes in the Private Schulz saga, liking the obvious rivalry between the SS & Gestapo, so well played out.

I don't have to believe it any more, I have experienced it. I'm really very glad to have found these dramas. After seeing the film and the BBC series (The modern day Sherlock), I searched for a full adaptation of the work. Rarely have I been so impressed by an audio drama. The last time was The Hitchhiker's Guide. Cheers
