Luka 6:46-49 [46]Na kwa nini mnaniita, Bwana, Bwana, walakini hamyatendi nisemayo? And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? [47]Kila mtu ajaye kwangu, na kuyasikia maneno yangu na kuyatenda, nitawaonyesha mfano wake. Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: [48]Mfano wake ni mtu ajengaye nyumba, na kuchimba chini sana, na kuweka msingi juu ya mwamba; na kulipokuja gharika, mto uliishukia nyumba ile kwa nguvu, usiweze kuitikisa; kwa kuwa imejengwa vizuri. He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. [49]Lakini yule aliyesikia ila hakutenda, mfano wake ni mtu aliyejenga nyumba juu ya ardhi pasipokuwa na msingi, mto ukaishukia kwa nguvu, ikaanguka mara; na maangamizi yake nyumba ile yakawa makubwa. But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

Mathayo 7:15-20 [15]Jihadharini na manabii wa uongo, watu wanaowajia wamevaa mavazi ya kondoo, walakini kwa ndani ni mbwa-mwitu wakali. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. [16]Mtawatambua kwa matunda yao. Je! Watu huchuma zabibu katika miiba, au tini katika mibaruti? Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? [17]Vivyo hivyo kila mti mwema huzaa matunda mazuri; na mti mwovu huzaa matunda mabaya. Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. [18]Mti mwema hauwezi kuzaa matunda mabaya, wala mti mwovu kuzaa matunda mazuri. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. [19]Kila mti usiozaa tunda zuri hukatwa ukatupwa motoni. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. [20]Ndiposa kwa matunda yao mtawatambua. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Mathayo 7:13-14 [13]Ingieni kwa kupitia mlango ulio mwembamba; maana mlango ni mpana, na njia ni pana iendayo upotevuni, nao ni wengi waingiao kwa mlango huo. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: [14]Bali mlango ni mwembamba, na njia imesonga iendayo uzimani, nao waionao ni wachache.
