Deutscher Kronprinz Wilhelm complete Interview in Fox Movietone News 1932

...will always in the end come out top deutscher-kronprinz.forumotion.me
I can see a family resemblance between the crown prince and his British relatives, including George VI, the late queen, and even King Charles.
On 21 March 1933 (Day of Potsdam), he stood next to Adolf Hitler wearing a hussar cap and defended the National Socialist leadership until the end of the war. What on earth is there to admire about this man?
Getting rid of the German monarchy was a brilliant idea- not! The Serbs have a lot to answer for. We British should have stayed out of the and used it to our advantage. Sit back and see how things work out. We were not legally required to go to war over Belgium, merely to consider a response.
Americans only speak one language
Had no idea Wilhelm could speak English

Without his Father there wouldn t be a Versailles
ofcourse he thinks the reason of unemployment is the treaty of versailles
What a distinguished looking , pleasant man. He resembles his great grandson,Crown Prince, Georg Friedrich
Goodness, he looks like the Windsors
The treaty of Versailles was an absolut atrocity to my country, it was way too harsh.
The crown prince was planning on going on a hunting trip with the American ambassador to Alaska just before the war broke out and also wanted to tour some of America's large cities but unfortunately the war broke out and he was unable to.
The next German emperor in line. 🤗
das war sein pech . direkt nach dem krieg um die ecke gebracht worden
If I remember my history, the crown prince was in command of the army opposite the French during their army’s great mutiny during the Great War. When he received reports that the French had abandoned their trenches, he refused to believe it. He let the easiest of victories simply slip through his hands and we all know where that eventually led to.
Yes, you are correct.
Dreieinhalb Millionen Tote Deutsche im ersten Wertkrieg wegen seinen Vorfahren. Sie waren sich der Macht nicht bewusst. Erzberger hat uns gerettet.
Hitlers best friend
Most definitely not hitler only used the crown prince to get into power and the crown prince wanted to use hitler for the same reason The crown prince like his father hated hitler
Throughout history or atleast in the past 200 years we have criticized and dehumanized royals of many houses. However these royals were some of the most intelligent people and they predicted the downfall of society that we live in.
The same forces that brought them down are the ones that have been trying to take down western societies for the past hundred plus years up until this very minute
he seems like a very nice man
Z
Speaking of employment, being a blue blood he never worked a day in his life.
Never worked a day in his life serving in the military and fighting in Verdun, not to mention his political role of the nation, you think the German health care system and pentions just appeard out of nothing and monarchs were just chilling ut all happend there.
Of course he is gonna blame the treaty of Versailles for unemployment💀
Yes Germany lost the war because the German people began to revolt, German soldiers were beginning to abandon their posts on the western front because their families back home couldn’t get bread, they didn’t know what they were fighting for as Germany was on the cusps of revolution and the Kaiser was forced to abdicate to end the war and save the country from plunging into utter chaos!
Ist das eigentlich der Kronprinz, den Joseph Roth in "Das Spinnennetz" skizziert hat?
Funny and sad man
Germany had defeated Russia in ww1 and was about over take France but USA stopped it with man power so then we got nazi Germany stay out wars USA
Das ist die Stimme von Wilhelm II., nicht vom Kronprinz!
He have had a bad habit - smoking
This is Crown Prince Frederick Wilhelm.
Did he ever visit America
No. His son, Louis Ferdinand, did, however. He spent time in Detroit, among other places, and became a friend of Henry Ford. Louis Ferdinand was interested in engineering. He also met Roosevelt. He distanced himself from the Nazis, and after the war, enjoyed a good reputation. There were many who wanted him to run for Bundespraesident. He declined, though, because he did not want to renounce his claim to a German throne.
@@theBaron0530 he was also in the german resistance against hitler and was involved in operation valkyrie
@@palastofhistory4026 What evidence do you have to support the statement that Wilhelm was in the resistance and was involved in Valkyrie? I have never even heard such a statement before.
@@theBaron0530 (Sorry for the late response) not crown prince wilhelm iam talking about his son Louis Ferdinand of prussia
@@palastofhistory4026Thanks for clarifying!

He is pathetic
Why?
The Crown Prince was delusional that Hitler would restore the monarchy! Hitler did not mind aristocrats but he saw no purpose in restoring the monarchy when he was already the absolute leader of the German republic!
The Treaty of Versailles was more or less the reason for WW2. They punished Germany way to hard. Many people even say the plan was to destroy the country completely through the treaty of versailles. Taking away Germany’s military (from 4 mio to only 100 thousand) was a big humiliation for them. The country had one of the most advanced military and it was definitely one of the biggest prides of the nation. Another problem was that in the territories that got taken away from them there lived many ethnic Germans who didn’t want to belong to the neighboring countries. Also Germany could’ve never payed the allies with the money they demanded from Germany. The country itself was in a huge economic crises. It was only a matter of time before another war would break out. (And don’t forget that they lost all their colonies in Africa and Asia) It was also not fair that Germany had to accept all the war guilt for a war they didn’t even start in the first place.
You said it man!
@@Ahmes_x Read that complete and utter drivel through to the millions of dead from the trenches of Northern France, the Atlantic, the Alps, the Middle East, and everywhere else. Germany chose to invade Belgium, France, Russia, chose to send - once - its navy against Britain; Belgium, France and Russia did not attack Germany, the British navy did not attack the German navy - the aggression was entirely one-way. The mis/dis-information in your comment serves no good to anyone - read a history book, then try to understand it.
It's tragic what they one treaty caused
They punished Germany far harder after 1945, with much more reparations actually paid by Germany up until 2010, and look at the result: 40 years of peace in Europe!
He was the grandson of Queen Victoria and his cousin was Tsar Nicolas II, who was also fluent in English. Vladimir Putin can also speak English quite well, but he doesn't want you to know that, among other things
Great grandson of Queen Victoria.
Actually the Kaiser was first cousin to Tsar Nicholas’s wife, the former princess Alexandra of Hesse-Darmstadt whose mother, princess Alice was the younger sister of the Kaiser’s mother, Princess Victoria- Louise of Great Britain. The Kaiser and Nicholas II weren’t actually “blood cousins.” King George V on the other hand was first cousin with the Kaiser as his father & the Kaiser’s mother were siblings. His mother, Queen Alexandra’s was the elder sister of the dowager Empress Maria of Russia, Nicholas II’s mother.
Most Royals spoke multiple languages, English being one of them. Despite or people might think, even 100 years ago, there were plenty of Germans that spoke English. As of 2023, I can guarantee every ethnic German living in Germany speaks English and most speak a lot better than most Americans.
A 1000 years dinasty, and it all ends with this "creature" holding a cigarette and barely articulating a complete idea.
It never ended hohenzollerns are stil there he was the crown prince BTW Not the emperor
@@palastofhistory4026 Wake up to reality man, the Hohenzollern dynasty and the nobility don't even exist officially anymore in Germany.
A true German, blaming unemployment on the treaty of Versailles
Wich is true Treaty of versailles basically caused ww2 to happen
It really did screw them over and was the cause of civil unrest, depreciation of their currency, and mass unemployment. Their industrial centers were occupied and cannibalized by France. It made them so bitter enough to accept a radical like Hitler and the Nazi’s.
in USA you would blame the unemployed for unemployment
It seems he had never heard of the Great Depression...
He looks a lot like Queen Victoria. 😮
Waren ja auch verwandt.Sein Vater war ein ENKEL von Queen Victoria !
If you are Scottish lord, then *I am Mickey Mouse.*
Long live the Kaiserreich! Long Live Kaiser Wilhelm III!
Gonna show this to anyone who downplays US involvement in WW1
Lol. It’s a fact Germany would have won if America didn’t send Britain and France supplies. The same with WWII, but add Russia to the list.
Looks a lot like his father but without the mustache.
The way they act feels like this was staged.
Das ist nicht Kronprinz willhelm!
The Kaiser, or his son, the Kronprinz Wilhelm, or his grandson, Prinz Wilhelm - perhaps allowed to retain the throne with same limitations imposed on their cousins in England - would have prevented the rise of the NSDAP (“the Nazis”)
"I absolutely belive in the future of my country" da bekomme ich immer Gänsehaut.
Warum?
Selbstverständlich sollte man lieber nicht an die Zukunft seines eigenen Landes glauben. Depression ist ja viel cooler.
Hello Son.
People talking about how good his English is of course its good his father Kaiser Wilhelm II is half English with his mother being Queen Victoria's daughter
Well, yes, but language isn't passed on with the genes. He learned English, as his father did, who also spoke it as well as a native speaker. Many people are unaware of the ties between the Hohenzollerns and the English, going all the way back to the 18th century. There was a lot of intermarriage between the Hohenzollerns and the Hannoverians. Before Germany was united, those ties formed a foundation for German and British friendship, and even alliance in common causes.
Look its me on TV
Rather, on chemical photography.
What caused the Great Depression? Leader of Germany in World War I: *IT WAS THAT DAMN TREATY!* I think there might be a little bias.
His father Wilhelm II was the head of state during WW1. He was the heir to the Imperial throne, and would have been Wilhelm III, but the monarchy was abolished before he could ascend to the throne.
1:21 Kronprinz Wilhelm accurately describes the Kaiserreich mod.
“GeRmaNy StArTeD wW1” “WhIlHeLm 2nd WaS a MaaaAd MAn” “TrEaTy Of VeRsAiLlEs wAs JuStIfiEd” - people still actually think this way, you will see some of these fools in the comment section, so please, be careful!
The first one isn't true. The second one, depends on interpretation but given he had Empire envy and was desperate for Germany to expand you could argue yes it was. As for the last one, Germany may not have started it but they contributed the most to it so its reasonable that they pay for most of the damage.
Honestly i think Germany did ignite the powder keg that was 1914 Europe. However, its not like the whole situation was entirely Germanys fault. Its pretty likely that if Germany didnt support Austria-Hungary, the war wouldnt break out for some months or even years, but i dont think it changes a lot in the grand scheme of things. Wilhelm II was an idiot though. I dont think he was a mad man, and i also think people generally overestimate how much real power he had in 1914. He did try to prevent the war in some ways, so its pretty safe to assume he wasnt a warmongering mad man, but his efforts were quite poor to say the least. The treaty of Versailles wasnt justified. But thats a lot of hindsight and one can easily understand how especially the French felt after WW1. Im glad the allies learnt and did most stuff right post 1945 with regards to Germany.
@@vanessaxoax7646 I see your point, but don’t forget Russia was a key escalator, they chose to go to war in support of Serbian state terrorism, if you want to point the finger at Germany for issuing a ‘blank cheque’ you must also call out Russia’s unconditional support for the Serbs.
Kaiser wilhelm iii
