I worked there . Loved the job but the supervisors are very shady and racist. A lot of extremely shady illegal business goes on there. They got rid of me because I know too much. Period.

I’ve been working here for 5 years. It’s a very lovely location with wild turkeys, deer, peacocks and other wildlife all around.

my grandmother worked there. ......there is a very strange camp on the side of manzanita peak that faces the canyon beyond the old damn , it struck me as old and carefully made but not part of the hospital, carefully stacked rocks and like a little open roofed home... I used to crawl every inch of those hills, it struck me as bizarre, ...also lost terraces that were near I think, all seemed different build than the hospital ruins and remains. been 20 years...wonder if its still findable... you got my brain working on this one ! thanks for the fun vid.

I've been enjoying your videos. I'm a Napa resident of 33 years and have been doing a large amount of research on my RUclips channel.

Seems a convenient place to put the people most resistant to the reset of the late 1800s . Funny how many people died in the early 1900s and that’s when they had orphan trains herding out orphans. Also same timing as Spanish flu, and a bunch of wars between Britain and other countries , then World War I . What better way to wipe out a resistant population than war and sickness. Then put the remainder in asylums and say they are insane . Did you see that one guys illness? He said he was a free thinker. Start researching the old buildings that were here, including that hospital, they were here long before we are told they were built. Look at the buildings from the late 1800s worlds fairs that were supposedly built in a year or two and then torn down after the fair. Very Roman and Phoenician like buildings. And the increase in patients right after the 1906 “ earthquake “ is suspicious too. On that note, go look at the San Francisco treasure island of 1915, that too was supposedly built for a fair and then torn down. All a bunch of lies, our history is not what they tell us it is.

Just went there and found your videos. I was hoping for more info on the abandoned two story building with all of the graffiti on it that looked like old living quarters.

Thinking the etching on the stone traced out as DIEL is actually "DIED" and the numbers below are a date? Might this be a clue to the stone formation and "window" in the wall. Possibly used as alter for candles or statue? Thanks for creating this history. Very helpful. I have ancestors who worked as attendants 1880s to 1930s.

My auntie Karen was sent to napa state hospital for the criminally insane she had multiple personality disorder after suffering severe physical and sexual abuse from my grandparents....she was sent there because she was threating Gov grey davis at the time and pres bill Clinton after serving as Ted Kaczynski aka the unibombers pen pal....we went there to visit her often and it was an absolutely creepy place ...as a physic and now paranormal investigator I'd love to go back and do a show I can guarantee evidence!!!
