Maintenance is the KEY. I do partial flush every 20k-25K and a full flush 100K only with synthetic oil and trans additive. Maintain clean anti-freeze fluid that helps to keep engine and trans run cool. I never had any problem with my auto trans.

Our builder builds some of the best 68s out there. We can definitely get you a unit for your truck!
And they will install a 10,000 dollar transmission after u spend the 65k lol

A true test would be a full weight street truck around the 1000-1200hp mark. That’s kinda the territory everyone switches to a 48. Maybe even try towing heavy, burnouts etc go try mimicking a customer
We got you covered. We have full weight trucks that make that HP with 68s that are running in competition pulls. We have customers that are daily driving them doing burnouts, hauling work trailers, hot shotting with these transmissions, and hauling 30k + pounds. This is just simply one of the scenarios we are testing it in.

With our stage 2, you absolutely can!

Love it! I was a total tranny nerd when i went to auto school back in 2004. But when it comes to transmissions in my trucks I’m strictly a manual Kinda guy. Everything ive owned diesel wise has been a manual all except one which was the ‘06 mega cab. And never again, i out about $9k into that thing to keep it solid. All the first gens have been getrag and nv 5600. I haven’t had a g56 yet but ive driven a few. It takes a special kinda person to be a auto trans kinda guy and build them thats for sure. Go to any trans shop and go talk to the old guy in the back that does nothing but build slush boxes! Guaranteed hes a weird! Ha!

My 68rfe got to 322,000 miles before it lost 4,5,6 and it was so loyal it still got me home with no converter lock and 1-3, I wasn’t even mad
How often did you service it?

@@samxware usually short runs on anything with a reservoir are worse for because it doesn’t have enough time to cook all the moisture out of the fluid, getting up to operating temp and staying there long periods is better
409 stainless and 410 stainless are magnetic don’t be fooled on your stainless there are so many grades and each does something different or has some wear resistance vs workability so treat each stainless individually.
Can I use the hotshots secrets ATF in my 545rfe?
