This is a project my brother started years ago and lost interest in. It’s a softer wood and simpler design than what I am used to, so I expect it’ll be a fairly quick project. Progress on this project will be slow but steady. As you’ll see in some other projects on the channel, I am more experienced carving simpler geometric shapes with the added challenge of multiple rings criss-crossing and linking. With the skull project, I wanted to change it up and try to carve something more organic. So far, I’m enjoying it but I’m taking it slow to try to avoid making mistakes...

Cringe how you wouldn't just carve a spheres and start etching in the features . It's also angsty that doesn't have the blade facing away from him . Gave me anxiety the whole first ten min. Not gonna make it . Bye .

Less talking, more carving. We don't watch these videos for talking. Talking ruins the asmr experience.

Kinda painful to watch how little progress is made out of fear of losing a finger. Invest in gloves or tape my friend. Edit: Also it may help to glue the panels down instead of a using a piece of tape so you're not having to get creative on how you hold a chunk of wood to keep the panels from falling off. Sorry if this seems condescending. Just makes this video seem a lot longer than it is because i'm 15 minutes in and all you've got is rounded corners...
im only on the second video but this skull carving series has calmed me down from so many breakdowns. your work is beautiful, keep it up :]

Is there something like preparing wood before carving or it's just..when u buy good kind of wood it's already ready for carving
if you have the right wood you can carve right away. its important to use a wood that doesnt splinter too much. i personally prefer pear tree wood. irt´ts a little on the harder side but doesnt splinter as much
