Goku vs JJK
People always like to pit really strong characters vs characters with really busted hax, and the poster child for the strong characters is usually Goku, one of the strongest characters in anime. That said, JJK has some pretty impressive hax, being in the realm of the likes of JoJo and Bleach for mainstream anime with insanely OP hax, so can JJK take out Goku despite the massive stat difference? In this video, I'll be pitting the strongest characters in JJK vs Saiyan Saga Goku, the strongest version of Goku from the first arc of DBZ.

Holy balls, I love the lore implications and your overall passion for Baki. Its brings a whole different level of understanding and really shows how much of a freak of nature Baki really is. To be so young and skilled, to have mastered the art of fighting, to create your own brand and style of combat, and to still have so much to learn is absolute insanity. It puts everything into perspective. How insanely talented every other fighter is, how much Baki appreciates his friends and the overall art, the monster that is Yujiro Hanma, THE POWER OF 4000 YEARS OF CHINESE MARTIAL ARTS, etc. Even just at the surface, the idea of Pickle and Miyamoto Musashi meeting and being the pinnacle of humans just makes Baki so so special, man. Legendary stuff.
@@mythic6632 I’m glad I can do that! That’s one of the most rewarding things about making these videos: getting to share with everyone just how awesome Baki is in both cast and narrative, in both skill and power, and in both martial arts dedication and accuracy
however, as the famous ming general 戚繼光, mentioned in your video, said in his book regarding unarmed combat and kenpo, the kenpo are really only ways of execising and maintining good physical health and conditioning, and the real battlefield applications lay in the formations and utilisation that he wrote in 紀效新書. also, taichi is at the earliest really around the qing dynasty, definitely not 4000 years old, good for maintaining good health, but not necessarily practical irl. the major problem with real modern chinese kungfu is that they say they have real combat applications, but they do not spar, get destroyed when they do, ordon't use their advertised techniques. much of modern chinese kungfu is sadly snake oil, evident from the rampage of xuxiaodong across these so called masters. the development of sanda is the direct descendent of the 4000 years of chinese Kungfu, if you go down the history of sanda development, you see the taking of what works from all the different styles and throwing out the chaff. obviously, traditional Kungfu still have a place in modern martial arts, but more as a cultural export like the old hongkong martial arts movies, the game sifu, or the influences on japanese manga like baki. p.s. have you read the retsu isekai manga?
p.p.s. there is a great guy on youtube who made an series covering the history and development of sanda with cited sources, though it is in chinese. the channel is called 尋找中國功夫
For these videos, I try to speak strictly about the martial arts themselves without considering training methodology or talent pool in modern time, as otherwise effective martial arts like TKD or Karate would get massively dragged down by McDojos and martial arts like Aikido would be discarded as useless or impractical when that’s not the truth. Also yeah, I’m keeping up with the English releases of the Retsu Isekai, it’s awesome!
@@RedFoxGrappler would you cover the techniques in there? for example, the tsubame gaeshi?

Perhaps the only time in the Baki series my immersion was broken was with the <6% oxygen thingy. I'd have understood if it was about removing the air from the victim's lungs, but the technique is explicitly stated to basically change the chemical composition of the air itself, essentially atomic manipulation. Actual magic.
@isuckatnames6033 really? I can’t remember it saying that, do you know where that statement is?
7:44 (image) THIS!! THIS RIGHT HERE!! As much as I genuinely tried to suspend my disbelief and enjoy the crossover, Jack vs Raian temporarily broke me. Jack felt so flanderized and mentally nerfed that he was hardly even the same character anymore outside of looks. I would have accepted a million different Jack losses and said "It's a crossover, oh well" but instead of good writing they just lobotomized him and made him throw the fight.
@isuckatnames6033 yeah, that was definitely a bit frustrating, but oh well, what’re we gunna do🤷♂️
Ki attacks can atomize the target which bypasses infinity, no? It doesn't protect Gojo at that scale.
@@nothingbeatsajellyfilleddonut no, unfortunately for Goku in this instance, Infinity isn’t a matter of power. No matter how powerful the blast is, because of how Infinity works, it will never reach Gojo. For Goku’s attacks to hit Gojo, they would have to either be able to cover an infinite distance in a finite amount of time, so instant movement or teleportation, or they would have to have a special quality that negates Infinity like the Inverted Spear of Heaven. Atomizing things is a byproduct of power output, not a special quality of ki.
@@RedFoxGrappler More powerful ki has also damaged space itself or crossed infinite distance as a byproduct of its power but I'm sure you'd agree that those would hurt Gojo. If Gotenks or Buu scream in his face it'd break through for example.

Si ma ci sono anche altre arti marziali antichissime di 4000 anni o piu non solo il kung fu ma anche il jujutsu tradizionale giapponese il Muay thai la boxe occidentale ancora piu antica del kung fu quindi
@@FrancescoDauria-y5g no, there are no reliable historical documents that date Japanese Jujutsu to before 2,000 years ago, making Kung Fu 2,000 years older than it. Japanese Jujutsu’s ancestor art, Sumo, was created in 8 A.D., and before Sumo, there was a wrestling art known as Tegoi, but Japanese Jujutsu certainly didn’t exist yet. Muay Thai again is only 2,000 years old, dating back to, at the earliest, the 7th century, again making Kung Fu 2,000 years older. Boxing as a conceptual martial art is one of the oldest styles in history, however, that’s the reason I specify that Kung Fu is the oldest “codified system of martial arts”, where techniques are named, recorded, and taught. In that respect, Boxing is quite literally only 150 years old. I don’t doubt that there’s some obscure martial art I don’t know about that’s as old as or maybe even older than Kung Fu, but none of the ones you mentioned are even half of the age of Kung Fu.
@RedFoxGrappler la boxe occidentale è stata documentata che già la praticavano gli antichi greci e i sumeri e fin dall alba dei tempi da quando l uomo scopri di chiudere le mani a pugno e usarle come armi .
Jujutsu Is a martial art complete of origin japanese!!!!! Ok.
@@FrancescoDauria-y5g sorry, I don’t think I understand what you’re trying to say?
I am ngl this video is glazing jjk goku would be probably so fast nothing could or would ever hit him they wouldn't even probably see him he probably even by pass infinite with how out speed he would be also goku could copy probably most of the hax if you want to equalize the verses i would say a much better fight would be goku in the end of lik og dragonball or beginning of z before he thought like raditz Great video though very good quality keep the work up
@@Rezi_ON no, again, like I explained at the end of the video, no version of Goku in Dragon Ball Z is fast enough to bypass Infinity. In order to do so, Goku would have to be able to cover an infinite amount of distance in a finite amount of time, which he objective cannot. Sure he absolutely blitzes the rest of the cast, but I already mentioned as much in the video. Gojo, however, he cannot touch in any way, shape or form
@@RedFoxGrappler how about instant transmission
@@Rezi_ONhe can move instantaneously, but can’t attack instantaneously, we’re literally shown as much when he uses the instant transmission Kamehameha on Cell, where he instantly teleports to Cell, but Cell them has enough time between when Goku teleports and when he launches the beam to be surprised, which would be impossible if the attack was instantaneous as well. Goku has also never and likely would never teleport inside of a person and kill them if he can even do that. Also, Saiyan Saga Goku doesn’t know instant transmission so it’s a moot point anyway
@RedFoxGrappler what about if he just instant Transmitted gojo to space ?
Wakatsuki vs Hanayama would’ve been much better. (Even better if Hanayama lost tbh)

Any video with the title "Can ___ Beat Goku" is a waste of time. Its Goku, or your just wrong.
@@WakeUpUniverse66 he literally lost in this video to Gojo, so I dunno what you’re on about unless you have a way for Saiyan Saga Goku to bypass Infinity😂
@@RedFoxGrappler That's the problem you are using a weaker form of Goku
@@James-ne1nl of course he has to if not than goku would just destroy everyone hell when he was a child he probably is among the strongest in jjk if not then the video would just be a few seconds long and it goku win no diff
Great video! just 2 questions: 1) Do you think the spirit bomb would be able to outhax infinity? 2) Because saiyan saga goku had that beam clash with vegeta, and how the ki's had to resist and overpower each other, could there be an argument made that could have ki-clashes be a form of domain amplification?
@@torsker1116 thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed! For the first question, no, as I mentioned in the video, I think the logic of the Spirit Bomb bypassing Infinity is too much of a stretch. For the second, no I wouldn’t say so: Domain Amplification is a special quality added to Cursed Spirit Energy, whereas a beam clash is just a battle of physical power rather than hax or a special ability Good questions!

Jujustu origin is not from China, majority of Japanese martial arts or weapons actually do not have origin or even influence from China. Chin na is just a generic term for joint lock it's not a martial art. The roots go back to kumiuchi, this was basically putting your opponent to the ground and slicing the head. Kogusoku-jutsu(grappling with knives techniques) Koshi-no-mawari(concept originating from iaijutsu, meaning around the hips) Samurai sumo(different from modern sumo) Torite-jutsu (arresting hand techniques) use by police to arrest criminals without killing them. Taijutsu was another term for jujutsu. it was not its own thing in modern media like manga and such, it's often used that way taking cues from other striking arts so where's the confusion comes from. "Ju" really does not mean soft, a better translation would be flexible. Jujutsu did not become more striking focused during the Edo period, people still carried weapons such as knives, even Samurai still had their swords, policeman also had weapons like jitte, people even could wear armor underneath their clothing, there were some schools that are known for their striking techniques but they're more of an exception. As for popularity, really likely comes down to judo just can be easily found everywhere(including outside Japan) in Japanese high schools there's a good chance it has a judo club at least, which more traditional jujutsu not a lot of people know about so there's less awareness, Kung Fu has a bunch of movies some of which staring known actors, but also Kung Fu has a lot of flashy movements that don't work at all in a fight but probably work for the cinema, jujutsu has less than of that. Still could probably work through.
@@eagle162 While jujutsu is distinctly Japanese, it’s difficult to entirely separate the historical influence of Chinese martial arts on Japanese martial traditions. Historical exchange between China and Japan-especially during the Tang Dynasty and Heian period-introduced elements of Chinese culture, including martial arts concepts like striking techniques and joint manipulation. For example, systems like Chin Na (joint locks) likely influenced early Japanese grappling techniques. Similarly, weapon designs such as the ken (sword) evolved in part due to interactions with Chinese swordsmithing and tactics. While Chin Na translates to “seizing and controlling” and is a set of techniques rather than a standalone martial art, it is a significant component of broader Chinese martial arts like Shaolin Kung Fu. Calling it “just” a generic term underplays its importance. Systems like Jujutsu or Kumiuchi may have borrowed principles from these locking and controlling techniques, showcasing Chin Na’s contribution to martial disciplines. While Kumiuchi (armored grappling) was a key influence on early jujutsu, it is not the sole root. Jujutsu’s evolution was also shaped by Chinese martial arts, including Chin Na, which emphasizes joint locks, grappling, and control techniques. Historical records suggest that cultural and martial exchanges between Japan and China, particularly during the Nara and Heian periods, introduced Chin Na principles to Japanese martial artists. These principles complemented Kumiuchi by offering methods to restrain and incapacitate opponents without lethal force-ideal for the unarmored, civilian-focused combat scenarios that emerged during the Edo period. The technical overlaps, such as joint manipulation and leveraging an opponent’s force, suggest Chin Na played a formative role in diversifying jujutsu techniques beyond the battlefield context of Kumiuchi. While Kogusoku-jutsu is indeed a specialized art, it is one piece of the jujutsu puzzle rather than the sole root. Similar concepts of weapon-integrated grappling are found in Chinese and Korean traditions, suggesting that grappling arts have multiple points of origin and mutual influence. Koshi-no-Mawari likely contributed to the ergonomics and efficiency of jujutsu movements, but many jujutsu techniques do not rely on a weapon-drawing posture. Grappling concepts often emerge naturally in combative traditions and are not exclusive to weapon arts. The emphasis on hips is a universal concept in martial arts, seen in Chinese wrestling (Shuai Jiao) and other systems as well. Samurai sumo was a significant precursor to jujutsu, but the evolution of martial arts did not happen in isolation. For example, sumo and other grappling arts likely influenced each other alongside external ideas. The existence of shared principles like balance breaking and throws across East Asian martial arts implies mutual inspiration. Torite-jutsu is indeed a part of jujutsu’s evolution, but similar systems in Chinese and Korean martial arts also developed for law enforcement. Chinese constabulary arts such as Tie Sha Zhang (iron palm techniques) share goals of control without lethal force, making it plausible that cross-cultural exchange contributed to the development of jujutsu. Taijutsu (“body art”) often serves as a broad term encompassing unarmed combat techniques, including jujutsu. However, historically, different schools might have used “taijutsu” to describe their unique curriculum, which could include elements of striking, grappling, or even weapons training. Media-driven reinterpretations reflect the natural evolution and reinterpretation of martial arts over time. While “ju” can mean flexible or adaptable, “softness” in this context refers to yielding to force rather than resisting it directly-an apt description of jujutsu’s core principle. Semantics aside, the broader philosophical concept of adapting to and redirecting an opponent’s energy applies regardless of the exact translation. Striking did not dominate jujutsu, but certain schools incorporated atemi-waza (striking techniques) as part of their curriculum. The emphasis on grappling over striking likely persisted due to practical reasons-armor and weapons remained a consideration. However, striking became more significant in some civilian contexts where unarmed combat was necessary. Historical records suggest a nuanced development, not a wholesale shift. Judo’s focus on sportification, standardization, and Olympic recognition played a major role in its global popularity. Meanwhile, traditional jujutsu schools preserved a more niche, classical approach, limiting its exposure. Kung Fu’s cinematic appeal may include exaggerated techniques, but many styles emphasize practical applications as well. Popularity is often influenced by cultural exposure, not merely practicality or effectiveness. While jujutsu’s techniques are practical and grounded, it has elements that could work cinematically, such as dynamic throws, joint locks, and submissions. The art’s subtlety may require skilled choreography to highlight its effectiveness on screen, similar to how Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has been showcased in modern media.
@@RedFoxGrapplerno this is not correct.
@@RedFoxGrapplertang dynasty influence is greatly overblown, will you do see some influence mainly in Buddhism during nara period, is not the case in armor or weapons which are clearly different then what would be seen in a Tang dynasty, what the exception of swords even then Japanese swords will take more influence from wanto first created by people in Northern Japan. Chin na is exactly just a generic term for joint lock it does not have any specific techniques or meaning. Kumiuchi is directly the root, it first started to engage with the heian period at this point Japan already closed off trade with China. Actually martial arts culture would evolve differently in both Japan and China, martial arts did not really begin until the song dynasty, in Japan that wouldn't be until the 14th century. Before that people basically just learned the same thing or from a close family member there were no specific schools or category of styles until that point. So there are no records talking about martial arts exchange at this point.
Tang dynasty influence on Japan is greatly exaggerated, which you mainly see influence in something like Buddhist during nara, is not the case for armor or weapons, which are clearly different from ones one another with the exception of sorts even under clear differences in Japanese blades will take more influence from wanto first created by people in the Northern Japan. Also why wouldn't Japan have striking techniques or joint manipulation figure it out before tang. Humans been doing that since the dawn of time and was not a unique concept. Chin na means joint lock that's exactly what it's about. it's not techniques or doesn't have a specific meaning. Swordsmithing also developed differently, Japanese smithing is not even actually related to Chinese one contrary to popular belief it's been found more to be related to Central Asia. Similar case with tactics. There is no such thing as Shaolin Kung Fu, The Shaolin Temple actually was not known for its martial arts, that's a modern invention. Kumiuchi is directly the source, it first started to begin with the heian period at this point Japan already was close off trade with China. Which martial arts would develop differently between the two, martial arts not even actually start to develop until the song dynasty and in Japan it was not until the 14th century, before that there was no actual schools or category of martial arts, people essentially learn the same thing from a family member or through experience, so there are no records of an exchange regarding martial arts. Kumiuchi does not even focus on joint locks and does not mean armored grappling. Kogusoku is not found in Korean or Chinese martial arts. We have manuals and they do not show this. Koshi-no-mawari is not a drawing position, it's not the same and not what it is, the oldest jujutsu school Takenouchi-ryū directly credits it and Kogusoku as the origin for it, Shuai jiao is a far more recent art is not as old as claim to be, mainly taking from Mongol and Manchurian wrestling, likely Japanese jujutsu as well as it was popular which late Qing and early Republican era, you even have photos and book translations of it. Samurai sumo was something developed within the warrior class, actually wrestling cultures in both China and Japan were incredibly different, no these things do not have mutual inspiration. That is not what tie sha zhang, it is just a training exercise likely a modern one. Again taijustsu was just another term for jujutsu. Again there is no evidence to suggest that striking techniques become any more significant during Edo. Very few Kung Fu styles honestly focus on practicality.
Hmm I’m unsure if suggested yet but the Nadashinkage-ryuu style from tough
@@gentlethrow1705 yessir! It was suggested by someone named ryaden on my Niko Style video, I’ll definitely get to it eventually
@ ah hell yea can’t wait to see it then !
Damn I wish so hard that this was real but alas no vacuum palm on dem titties

@@DARK_HADOO incredibly based my homie, I appreciate you!

@@anaray9000 thanks, your subject makes the happen😂
Thank you for the information.
@@omegaredteam2516 my pleasure! Glad you enjoyed!
4:47 Shozan is the master of Striking, Tatsumi the master of Grappling, both are exponents of their respective arts in the world of Garouden, I would really like to see the fight between them
@@lukalzu absolutely, that battle would probably embody Twist or Fist more than any other fight in the series
One of the coolest and scariest techniques imo, it's an instant one shot too.
@@TheProphetLot definitely, you know it’s the real deal when it was used to beat someone as strong as Baki when he was also fighting 2v1!
@@RedFoxGrappler facts!
niceee, dude could you do another kengan combat clarification? about prevision (and kaneda variant) or the cosmo "zone" technique maybe about the raishin style
@@lautarofernandez4347 sure, I made sure to write all of your suggestions down on my list of requests
@RedFoxGrappler 🐐
Please make a combat clarification on Jack Hamna's "30h training a day" 😂
@@steven43753 that’s a good one that could definitely use some clarification!
Good stuff once again dude, does make me wish the Yuuenchi English translation got updated more often, the panels you've shown from the later untranslated chapters look great.
@@terra-vail5025 thanks! Also, agreed about Yuuenchi, feels like we’re surrounded by water with not a drop to drink
I feel this with Red Blue. Amazing MMA manga, no translation team anymore.
Love this breakdown but saying BJJ while using Kazushi Sakuraba's fight clips is absolutely disrespectful since he uses Catch Wrestling taught by Billy Robinson 🤣. Great video overall and I'm definitely subscribing.
@@serene_actual thanks! And yeah, I’m actually a big fan of Sakuraba (he’s the one that put CaCC on the map for me), admittedly in part because I’m not much of a Gracie fan and not only was Sakuraba the Gracie Hunter, but that hour+ long limited rules match against Royce was the stuff of dreams! Glad you enjoyed and I’ll try to be careful with visuals in the background, I just used Sakuraba because I saw him and wanted to use the clip lol
I have 2 questions 1 is which Baki or anime character uses intimidation for defense and question 2 is when Baki uses the triceratops fist does he change personality or character and if he did what type of personality and. Characters it is.
