In this video I just want to show how patching a tire correctly is safe and last just as long as the tire itself in service. I patched this tire about 5 times, still held air and could have gone more miles if it had more tread.

They key is to use a lot of lube and just take your time. Notice how I am using two bars to do this. Very important to find the drop center and place that facing up making it a-lot easier to remove the tire f...

Nice wheels!
Learned a lot! Thank you for being specific and showing all your supplies!
My husband dreams of having a shop! We’re learning a lot from your videos! Great info!
I also put the cone on the outer side also. Balances out perfectly
Video was super useful. I didn’t have any luck on other videos trying to look for a 95 Toyota pickup with auto transmission. 🙏
Super solid video! I’ve got a 95 with 22RE and automatic tranny that I want to do this to and this is gonna help a lot. Thanks for uploading
Nice David glad I could help
@ how many quarts of transmission fluid did it take when you refilled?
Thanks for the video! What city are you in? Is this profitable business?
it depends on you, any business can make money or fail
Couple of questions. Do all the tyres have steel bands? Is there steel bands in the side wall?
all depends on the type of tire. Passenger tires have steel inside the more the weight they are made to carry the more the steel used. Big rig tires have a lot of steel in them. thanks for watching
@rollingtreads8201 ok thanks for reply 👍

Thanks for sharing..

Can you please do training videos on how to use and go all the features on the coats 1300 I got one but I don’t know how to use it, thanks
check out my other videos I have 2 teaching how to balance with clip on weight and the other with stick on weights. Thanks for watching.
May you do more videos
Pretty cool, but uhhh safety gear please...thanks for the video
What do use use the pieces for?
They go to the tire recycling center. The reason I cut them up like this is because I don’t have a big truck at the moment so in order to fit more tires and make the trip to the recycling center worth it I chop them up. Without cutting them I can only fit about 30 tires onto my truck bed. Cut I fit about 200 saves me trips. Thanks for watching.
@ Wow!
should the person wanting to open a tire shop get experince changing tires first?
Yes definitely tire service can be dangerous so it’s better to familiarize yourself to keep yourself and customers safe. not all wheels/tires/valves are installed or balanced the same way. Get as much training as possible.
Can you guys do a video how to use the coats 1300 balancer I got one and need help on how to use it properly, thanks
Nice Check out my other videos I have 2 uploaded on how to balance using Clip on weights and stick on. Thanks for watching
you should find a recycler in a closer state. what a waste of time.
Good idea
just cut my first tire after watching your vids thanks !!!
yeah glad i could help
Rim protector is MANDATORY needed if it’s a customers car……. Shouldn’t see any scratches or nicks on the wheel when nicks or scratches weren’t there before….the owner of the car will notice and that could earn you a 1 star review
Thanks for the good information you shared 🙏
you're welcome

Great video!
Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching
you went and purchased a quality machine, then purchased a fake aftermarket plastic duckhead. you should buy an actual coats plastic duckhead. they make 2 diff ones. one is black similar but better quality than the aftermarket one. they also make a REAL COATS light grey colored duckhead. the grey one is for aftermarket and nice oem wheels and is the better choice
The black duckhead I have has not broken since i got it and am still using it so quality is good and i use my tire changer on the daily aftermarket and oem rims. I have the light grey one which is a coats but dont like using it. Thanks for watching.
Where did you get the cabinet for the clip on weights and sensors?
I got that one from wayfair. Thanks for wathing.
Great vid showing a great machine. However, the mode you used for that particular wheel is actually incorrect. The outside mode for that application is tape 2. Tape 3 is for older german vehicles that would use a tape weight outside the face of the wheel on the lip. If you notice the white indicator on the mode selector between tape 2 and tape 3 is indicating the wheel face.
Thanks
I could have done all 4 and the spare in that time... come on cuzzz
I tried this and as soon as I plug the rpm wire into the tach it kills the engine it is a different tack as well but it shouldn’t be a problem?
What year is your Toyota? The electrical setup may be different, but the tack shouldnt matter.
Ken-Tool - Automotive Wheel Weight Hammer (35361) thanks for watching
What is the name of that wheel weight removed that you like?
Where can I get one of those bead breaking tools. I just got a small sledge hammer & this is what I had in mind but didn't know it until now. I've seen lots of tire changing videos lately & this is by far the easiest I've seen.
I got the tool from tooltipia.com it was actually the slide bead breaking tool which this piece actually broke off and I have been using it like this since then. But there is a similar tool just like it. Thanks for watching
Ken-Tool - Economy Bead Breaker (35924), This is the one it broke off from
And this is the other one you are looking for Ken-Tool T24A Hand Held Bead Breaker . Thanks for watching
How many times did you rehearse this
I am thinking about fitting a tachometer to my 1997 Toyota Hilux as l live in Australia and we are right hand drive and the ignition coil is in the same place as yours l will need longer wires and my fuse box is in the right hand foot well also the dash board doesn't lend it self for fitting a tachometer l will be looking around maybe a small digital tachometer
nice best of luck with that project. thanks for watching. I'm interested in how your truck set up is on the inside will look it up.
@@rollingtreads8201 Well been from Australia its right hand drive and which means were it will be mounted it requires a long piece of wire ll will be pulling the whole dash board out to fit another head unit maybe do it then

This video can be life saver that you do NOT have to have tire changing machine to put new tires and first time I am seeing this, wow! Well done n thank you!
Very well done to show viewers *written words about VERY important valve core, shared value, and telling viewers about using valve core removal tools, very important also! Just subscribed!
glad you liked the video. this is how i first learned to change out tires. thanks for subscribing and watching
Tried it with low profile tires? Is it significantly better than the stainless steel one? I’m thinking about upgrading mine.
ive removed and installed alot of low pro tires, runflats, where i thought the mounting head would break or just not do the job but since the video ive had the same one on and works way better than the steel one. It doesnt damage the rims and doesnt cut into the tire beads.
I have two ranger tire machines. They both initially came with the plastic duck head. But we've found those to be flimsy when you're prying hard against them when dealing with stiff tires. We have installed the metal duck heads that came boxed with the machines and it's much better than the plastic. Our Ranger metal duck heads do come with plastic inserts that do protect the rim. I thought i share our experience. @@rollingtreads8201
Great video. You did a great job on covering all aspects..not skipping anything. I loved the text you added also. If you can advise where to buy the tools. Keep up the good work.
Love the video!
Thank you so much info
You are so welcome! hope that helped
Great video. Pay attention or you'll snap those ford mounting bands!
Thanks, will do!
isnt there a better chance of the duckhead slipping off the rim if it has play like that?
I've had this set up since the video and have not had it slip off or cause me any problems. The first time I did install it I assumed it didn't need any play tightened up so there wasn't any movement and almost damage tires and mounting head.
The only thing I could find you were doing wrong when you were taking the tire off using the tyre lever you don't use the pointy end you use the end with the bend on it you use the pointy end for putting the tire back on especially if you have very low profile tyres I only know this because I did tyre fitting for 20 years as for the cover protector I usually find that they are good to leave on because you do occasionally get that the machine may try to cut the bead but being a new machine it would have to take a while for the duck head to wear but when using that higher lever if you were putting a tube in it you would never use the pointy end to put the tire back on because the chances of you pinching the tube are very likely
Excellent Video! It deserves more than just 68 views as of Jan 2022! At very end, for just three (3) sec of still-frame, he shows details about the high-quality tools: Ken Tool Curved Tire Spoon, and Ken Tool T45 Tire Iron tool, and the Hand-Held Bead Breaker tool. Where to buy those please?
thanks, glad you liked the video. I got all those tools from this website called Tooltopia. Have not shopped with them for a while but they were the best deal at the time. The only thing I cheaped out on was the sledge hammer got that one from harbor freight but have used it from construction to tires it has earned my ok
where did you buy the tachometer from
I got it from amazon, and still working good ESUPPORT Car 2" 52mm Digital Tacho Gauge Blue RPM Tachometer 0-9999
