Why is the Christian God a HIM?
Because God has chosen to reveal Himself as Him. In particular, the person of Jesus Christ who is truly God and distinct from God the Father and God the Holy Spirit, incarnated in a male human body. He lived 2000 years ago, died on a cross, rose again three days later, and revealed Himself to His disciples in His resurrected body, and His disciples still recognized Him as Him. And God the Father and God the Holy Spirit are both referred to as Him in the Bible as well. However, God choosing to reveal Himself as Him, does not limit Him in a humanly way, as God made both man and woman in His image. I do not know why God has chosen to reveal Himself as Him, but I trust in His good purposes with which He does, supremely in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, through whom all humanity has access to God by trusting in Him.
@@peterliuproduction I think God has chosen to reveal himself as HIM because the Bible is essentially a compilation of teachings of many other traditions apart from pre-Christian European Pagan traditions. And the compiling was done by a patriarchal Council of men which shockingly chose to omit women in their scheme of things. Worse , they completely demonised Women and portray half of humanity as harbinger of sin and evil. Well, to your credit, you are not the lone Abrahamic monotheistic religion to do so.

Top job! We must pray hard for this generation to learn humility. Today, we are riding on what came at a cost to the previous generations. Because of their sweat and blood, today we are enjoying some prosperity. In the words of Tom Holland, an author, atheist and historian : ‘The ancients were cruel. Poor snd weak had no right. How did we get from there to here? It was Christianity that utterly transformed the world.’ So we need a lot of saving, as individuals and as society.

When Jesus said on the cross: ‘Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing’, it was a radical statement! Forgiveness is exercising a superior knowledge and a superior power. For myself, not being enabled by God to do so, it’s impossible to forgive unconditionally. Only a person, emptied of hate and filled with love, is able to do it - Jesus being a supreme and ultimate example of that!
