@@WheelzGaming88 if it doesn’t, we really do need to move on from some of these high-end skill position players to try and get as much as we can from them in the draft. Start from scratch in whatever vision Robinson and Morris have for the team.

@@JohnBeck-xj6rh week one is always incredibly difficult. It’s a strange week too as a lot of teams are shaking off rust. I ultimately think San Francisco will benefit from it being at home. But there’s definitely a world where I see them losing and I don’t know why it’s currently nine to one San Francisco over the Jets. To me it seems a lot closer to 50-50.

Thank you! It should be a very competitive division for sure. The Bears are the wildcard in the mix. If they are good, I think both the Packers and Lions win totals decrease by 1 as they will be out for much wanted blood. Love has the goods to be an amazing QB. There are some tough games on the schedule, but I think he has the right chemistry with the young WR corp. I do wonder if he is going to be better protected with your first round pick this year. I think you could have done better, but anything is better than an absent Bakhtiari. I hate that he couldn't stay healthy for y'all.

I will be shocked if we don’t end up with at least a Thursday night or a Monday night game at home. Sunday night football is on the table, though they tend to reserve that for Midwest games or those with the greatest storylines. The Minnesota game could be a Sunday night game depending on how well they think Minnesota will play.

If Penix is the real deal then absolutely. The only reason to keep him at this point is to have an additional layer of safety for two potentially injury prone QBs

That is definitely an issue, and I would honestly rather have been good now with a potentially great defensive player and then traded up going into year three of Kirk's contract to find his replacement.

I know John. I hear the talking points, but the draft truly ended up being a draft for the future with almost no if any day 1 starters. I was disgusted that we passed on DeJean for Orohororo just because of what we needed and I thought he was second best available CB. A need for the team. Instead we took a guy who might sit behind Grady and David for most of the season unless he proves to be the next coming of Aaron Donald. I hope he does, but it sucks to pass on needs and give up a pick to move up for a guy that might have still been there. We basically got him and a 6th round RB instead of him and a 3rd rounder. Time will tell if this was brilliant or wasted

This is the fun part of Terry Fontenot. We have no freaking clue. I have been wrong the past two years in a row. I would love for us to take one of the edge rusher. I think they’re going to take Latu, but I think we could move back with somebody in the 11 to 13 range and still make that move. A lot of the fanbase wants Dallas Turner. If you’ve done any mock drafts, you also realize that corner falls off dramatically after the first 40 pics, so we could end up doing that as well. Terry has also said something about best player available, which could be one of the wide receivers or Alt.

I appreciate the watch and it is always nice to hear from people who have our particular difference.

I understand where you are coming from, but he has been much more successful in the last few years, and it feels like if healthy he is reaching peak QB play. We will see now that we have Penix to look forward to in the future as well.

To be fair, at your job don’t you mainly care about getting paid? Ultimately, this is a job for these guys and the goal of a job is to make the most money you possibly can while providing the service asked of you.

Not sure who you are calling kid. I’m closer to 40 than 30. I agree with you, though that in the past he did come up small in big moments. As another commentor said, he’s weirdly gotten better in his 30s. He doesn’t have the stigma of the Monday night losing quarterback any longer. He’s in a great situation for his family, which is likely going to improve his headspace and mental aspect of his game. He has a solid offense and a rising defense in a weak division and conference. We don’t need him to win the Super Bowl, though it would be nice. We just need him to bring back a winning record and playoff appearances. Everything after that is gravy on the biscuit. The goal is to win a Super Bowl every year, but only one team can do that and it has never been Minnesota or Atlanta. I am content with a culture shift that leads eventually to a Super Bowl. He doesn’t have to come in and be the second coming of Joe Montana

I appreciate the watch, and the comment. I’m hopeful, because there hasn’t been much to hope for in the last six years. I agree that he has aged like a fine wine other than the injuries. He unfortunately played against Aaron Rodgers most of his time at Minnesota. We do not have the same issue in the NFC South currently. If he can get us a home playoff game and they win, we will be playing with what Tom Grossi calls “house money”

If he’s healthy and plays like he did prior to injury we could easily be a 10+ win team and take the division no problem
