#Merry Christmas ~ Last Minute Jobs Before Estate Agents Visit #25
Great vid. You did a lot of work properly. For me the biggest transformation had to be the kitchen, a real classy job.
Thank you! It was hard work but worth it. Our job now is to find our next project😄😄🥰
I feel your pain, I have experienced the youtube subscriber count issues too. I make my videos when I can. But it is not easy and it takes too much time in my opinion. I will never get to the 1000 subs to get monetized but I am not looking at that aspect or it will get me down. Keep going as your videos have good content, I keep going because it is just a bit of fun to record stuff for family to look back on. Keep your pecker up. Regards Dave
Your comment is very much appreciated Thank you! It is useful to keep a video diary for yourself and the family. Now 500 subs to get montetized YT reduced it.
The horse might have an abssess in it's hoof and the person who owns it might be aware but you could tell them. I don't know much about this but the earlier it's dealt with the better it will be for the horse and more than likely the cheaper the bill will be. If it develops the more expensive the farrier bills will be and more than likely vet treatment.
Thank you for this. For the safety of the horse I will get my friend to pass this on to the owner.
No worries at all mate. Any time 🇫🇷👍
Thank you!
step by step , keep going 😉
Thank you!
Good luck with the move, hope it goes well and you find a house soon.
I hope so too. Thank you!

Bon Voyage.
Thank you so much!
looking forward to catching up with you on your new adventure
Thank you so much!
Know the feeling on being busy moving stuff. Thats all I have been doing on my own in the last three weeks on my on throwing things out that I can not take back to England from France I had such a lot such a shame I could not has I have nowhere to put it. Plus cutting the trees and tiding up in the big garden plus cleaning and painting,, wood work it was never ending and all this on my own . I am upset that I will not be ever going back there in 18yrs of owning the property , but not the same on my own now, Good luck with the move 😘
All that work on your own is not easy my heart goes out to you we are sorry to hear you are having to go back the UK after all that time in fr. All those wonderful you must have. Take care and Thank you x

This is just a suggestion you guys need to get the clip on microphones so we can hear what you’re saying
Hi thanks for your comment really appreciate it. We have dji microphones but since we had a our camera replaced by dji recently we cannot get the mics working on it. 🙂
Poor horse really has a problem. I wonder if it has scratches, might need to see a vet.
@@kar702 The owner used a spray treatment which seemed to have solved the problem.
i don't get the youtube algoritm , were stuck at 1400 for ages , loosing like you 5 , 10 , gaining the same amount ... i know , we don't post every week tho , might be that .. hope for you you find the right place , just think the videos you make are a memory also for you in the first place 😉 all the best 🤗
Thank you so much, I realize these things take time just like the video's/editing but it is a a diary of memories to look back on. Onwards and upwards for the next project:))
Has he got a stone in his hoof😢😢😢❤
No he was checked for stones and flies:)
I hope you stay on if you enjoy making the videos. The same happens to us - I just told my husband we had 2 new Subscribers then when I looked again 1 was gone. That has happened a few times to our channel.
Thank you! for your support an inspiration:)
Keep going guys ..we're interested to see your journey.. it takes time to find a good fitting property.
We hope to find one before Christmas. Thank you so much for your comment:)
Must get you down a bit. Just found you, having a bit of a bing and hope to see more of you

Mate, don’t be too disheartened. It’s a struggle for sure. I’m certainly no RUclips expert and my channel isn’t doing amazing so take from my advice what you want. It may help 1- To get monetised you need 1000 subs and 4000 watch hours (in any 12 months). To give you any idea on how much you’ll get. A video either 16000 views will get you around 100 euros. You’ve then got to pay tax on that 2 - Make videos that you enjoy watching yourselves 3 - Be careful of a lengthy intro. Your last two videos didn’t have an intro which is good I believe. The reason being is the first 30 secs of any video so so so important. Audience retention needs to be over 60% otherwise the algorithm won’t push your video anymore. 4 - your title and your thumbnail is very important too. What you promise the potential viewer in the title and thumbnail needs to be delivered within the first 30 secs. 5 - keep an eye on your stats in RUclips studio 6 - people love consistency, so pick a day and frequency of videos and stick to it. 7 - as you know likes and comments are very important as you know. Even a thumbs down is good too. Ask the viewers a question in your video and ask them to reply in the comment. People love to give advice 8 - never get merch. It seems to be the kiss of death lol 9 - I’ve noticed your phantom 3. Do footage of your house and garden. 10 - spend time working your video in the video subscription - it’s called SEOs - search engine optimisation. RUclips is linked to google so if someone is searching for something on google, and the phrase or sentence is in your video description it should highlight the video to them. 11 - don’t be too disheartened. It’s gonna take a while Good luck guys. Hopefully this is of help Rob
Hi Robbie I have just found your comment for some reason your comment only shows up on my phone and not on the computer very strange to say the least. Thanks for the tips I will have to look at making some changes 😊
@@frenchfarmhouserenovation71 Thank God for that. It took me ages to write on my phone lol
Apparently 70% of YT channels close within 18 months because of the time and effort required to produce a channel /lack of viewers/problems with YT. I also read that there are a lot of scammers target channels and RUclipsrs have been stalked by dodgy people [mainly in the USA] maybe that's why YT have unsubscribed some suspect viewers. I think the best thing is to keep your actual exact location out of the picture. I found your house on Google Maps in minuets because you told us [I'm not nuts] I just wanted to see how close you were to Reims because I lived there once. I also think there are quite a few channels out there with the same or a similar name to your channel, maybe it's time for a slight change especially with the exciting new property in the near future [if you do let us all know]. I am loyal to new beginnings and love to see how people turn around a property in need of either a complete reno/modernisation or TLC, I think most people like to be 'in on it' from the start. You've already got great personalities and informative skills and I'm looking forward to seeing how Lorraine transforms a garden/veggie patch. So I predict lots more viewers for the new place. Sorry for the long post.
Thank you @sindy your comment makes sense I will be making changes for sure all around. YT is a learning process and one that takes time for smaller channels to get noticed. It is loyal subscribers like your self and our others we have that give us the determination to carry on. Lorraine is looking forward to getting her garden. Thank you so much for your comment😊
I know exactly how you feel, I have the same happen to me, last year I lost 135 subscribers in less than a week, last month 50! contacted youtube who are a waste of time, they just seem to look after the big boys.. when you think of the hours filming, editing, etc etc it makes you wonder if its all worth while.. I almost closed my channel last month, and I'm still on the fence.. take care cheers
Your right it seems that they look after the some more than others. It seems to be a common thing they do with small channels. For now we will keep at it and I hope you do too. Although we don't always comment we have watched your channel from day one and enjoy it very much so hang in there.🙂
@@frenchfarmhouserenovation71 cheers much appreciated

Hi sorry i not been able to watch as in France at my house but no Internet i am in the process of selling mine as my husband died and does not seem quite right here now as it is a,same😢 as love it here don't give up RUclips you need to advertise on fb that you are going to put a vlog out Hooe that helps ❤

It is sad that your leaving but you've don right by the new owners sorting all the problems out so there's little for them to do. One day maybe you can show/ explain those tattoo's. From what I can see they look amazing.

@@Escapetofrance-Charente Great thank you! Yes something that’s need work doing is ideal with a bit of land. Cheers mate!
I forgot to mention we are looking in the Charente area
@@frenchfarmhouserenovation71Hey, our neighbours house has just gone on the market for 210000 euros if interested
I have a septic tank/soak away shared with my neighbour. We haven't had it cleaned out for 5 years and although that's considered a long time it's working ok. We've recently had a quote for £450 [we pay half each] a much higher price than last time. I wish I was on mains drains because I've had to rod it out a few times due to blockages [baby wipes-not my fault] and it's not a job for the faint hearted. By the way the horse has FEATHER MITES [the hairy parts of the lower leg/heel/fetlock area are called feathers] I can tell because he has classic symptoms. There is a wealth of info on Google and YT about them. The condition looks petty advanced enough to warrant a vets visit which will have to include the feather being clipped off [it will grow back] If untreated they will get so bad that it causes life long very painful problems. The leg stamping is a sign of being in distress already. Sos for sounding like a bit of 'know it all' but I cringed watching him struggling.
Thanks for letting us know about the horse, I will let my friend know, the horse has now gone back to the owner so I hope he will get him treated . I will keep you updated.🙂
@@frenchfarmhouserenovation71 Have you considered looking on PROPERSTAR property for sale in France?. I'm sure you know of it but If not type it into google map the area you want /price bracket /requirements etc and it comes up with every single property for sale in that area [there are 100s if not 1.000s]. I always put in top price £100.OOO but am only really interested in the £20.000 to £50.000 prices. It's the best property search engine on the internet.
Great thank you will take a look at this. We are hoping to have something by Christmas if not before:)

What a lovely video. Well done for doing right by the birds. I've never seen potato plants that tall but the spuds looked good cooked. It really is amazing what the owners of the gite have done to the place and it was nice to see mares and foals out in the sunshine. What made you decide to move ?
Thank you for your question. A couple of reasons for deciding to relocate; The house is too small especially when family visit, we cannot find anyone close that can teach us French face to face and we have friends in the Limousin area.😊
