Good memories

I am not surprised this film had limited impact culturally. Maybe people were tired of the subject. The older generation who lived through the war may not want to revisit painful memories by watching movies that reference the WW2 and its horrors. The second generation born between 1946 and 1979 had this history often rammed down their throats in schools and movies and have had enough of the subject. The third generation born in the 1980s and later simply dont care for the most parts, even if they know something on the subject and a lot of them never learned much if anything about the Holocaust. Plus they had their own wars to deal with; desert storm in Kuwait in the 1990s, the ongoing war in Iraq, 9/11 2001, the Iranian Revolution in 1979 and its consequences, the Arab spring that led to war in Syria. There is only so much you can tolerate of misery consumption. I saw this film some years ago and it was good film. Not great but good.
