Jack Casey
Добавлен 3 май 2020
Hi. I’m Jack Casey, and I have been fascinated by electric fans since I was born. As such, most of the videos you will see on this channel will be about some fan or another. But you’ll also see me and my family goofing around on the farm, you’ll see me tell various stories, and so on.

Consider this a “before” video. Hopefully within the next month or so the restoration process will start.

Is the capacitor bad?
@@Axelbit64 probably something like that. I was actually able to get this fan a few months ago… just haven’t had time to investigate yet
Would pay any price for one of these! I want one so bad to put in my brothers room to annoy him and have it in my collection since one of the first fans I’ve ever known about was one of these.
Needs a remote for a 1 man operation
@@Goodellsam that would just be too easy. 😂😂
Oh man that's 105 years of patina I keep it looks kind of cool
@@noahforrester4537 I’m told it was still in mint condition when it was taken to the family deer lease and put on that porch in 1968. We thought about just clear coating it but I think we’re going to completely restore it
This is my favorite fan here along with New Orleans
This is my favorite fan here at this house
My favorite fan here is the Apollo
@@IceTheFanDude mine too
Definitely my favorite fan in this house
My favorite fan here are the first 2
My parents have that in their bedroom
I'm excited to see the after results of the restoring process.
@@JAX207CFS me too! It’ll be the first time I’ll ever have seen it run.
@@jackcasey7037 That's going to be even more interesting!
So are you going to get the vornado window fan restored to ?
@@NickSpires09 maybe someday, but not right now.
What are the blades made off ?
@@NickSpires09 aluminum, I believe.
Swords
@@tiov3001 if you stick a finger through them while they’re spinning, they might act as such. Lol
Love to see that baby side winder can I ask why is there a 4 next to the information tag
@@NickSpires09 my uncle numbered the blades before we took the fan down so that they could go back on in the same order as they were in case there was a balancing issue
@ sorry for asking so many questions
@@NickSpires09 oh it’s fine. Some questions are worth asking!
This thing needs to be restored so bad
@@josephalcoser4845 yeah but for now it’s running and that’s all we care about. It fits the rest of the cabin well in its current state 😂😂
@jackcasey7037 Hey I just saw your videos of the Annoying Brother's you should do more of that lol
@ yeah we do need to have that make a comeback. 😂
How the hell do you sleep in there with all of that racket??? 😳🥴🤣
@@Heather8MC it doesn’t bother me. I don’t know what else to tell you. 😂😂😂
@ that amazes me! You used to hate noise! That would make me absolutely insane! 🤪🕰️
@@Heather8MC you get used to it.
Awesome video so what are you going to do with the side winder and you have a new subscriber
@@NickSpires09 the Sidewinder is going to be restored (completely rewired, new bearings, and paint) and then it will return to this porch where it will be better maintained and hopefully keep the porch cool for many years to come. I also have a twin to it, minus the lights, that will also be coming to the porch at the other end so there can be a breeze no matter what chair a person sits in. Hopefully by spring we’ll have it done.
I wonder How the globe looks from the top
It looks like a harbor breeze Bristol
did this house have any fans inside
@@hitachifansandmore nope. Never did. Just some cool 1950s light fixtures. There are a few old portable fans that I videoed and will upload soon.
It sucks that the bearings on this are all dried up. This is one reason why some people are not smart when it comes to indoor fans and the ones that are suitable for outdoors.
@@ceilingfansclocksminecraft1226 the bearings are soon to be replaced. This one is probably safe for outside - all metal construction (even the blades). It’s just been outside for over half a century so it needs some maintenance
@@jackcasey7037 That makes sense. It may be safe outside but outdoor rated is a better way to go. It's your choice whether you have it outside or not, though.
@@ceilingfansclocksminecraft1226 really, the choice falls on my aunt who owns the property. She wants it outside because that’s where it was when she spent time there growing up.
@ceilingfansclocksminecraft1226 it's an antique. There was no such thing as "outdoor rated" back then
@@doctorfeinstone6524 they didn’t need outdoor rated. Shit back then was built to last no matter the conditions lol
some oil would have got it running
@@Marksfansandthings it needs rewiring too. All the wiring is just crumbling. But yeah, wiring and oiling will probably get it going.
hi
"Outdoor Rated". What a joke.
The cleanest one is broken
Those bearings need some oil
@@josephalcoser4845 they really just need to be replaced. It’s on my list of things to do.
@@jackcasey7037 ok but nice ceiling fan!
Delete this!!! This is not your social Media!!! RUclips is for made entertainment videos. Not this garbage
Wow, that's great. I would love to see these in person.
I have one of these I use daily at the office. Works great!
What happened to the gazebos?
That looks like an evergo
That is fast
Thats a lot of moss hi lines
That looks brand new does it get used a lot?
@@demarkusthompson2867 probably not much
Is that in a bedroom?
@@demarkusthompson2867 nope, it’s above a kitchen table.
Can you replace the bearings?
@@Fluffberymoff you can and I will eventually
@@jackcasey7037 ok
Let’s goooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess this person is a fan collector lol because he has a Fanimation sign
@@carterthefanguy9006 oh yeah lol. He mainly collects antiques and he’s got a lot of cool stuff!
Beautiful fan. There's one of these in the beach house bedroom
theyre so rusty the finish almost looks brass
Most of the stuff you own is not made in the US including the phone you’re recording with 🤷♂️
@@BSwayze unfortunately, that’s very true.
It looks like the Harbor breeze Centralvile
@@Jaxton-f5x kind of, just more ornate.
What year?
@@kelly9094 I didn’t think to look but I believe around 1995
很老舊
The finish on top is bleached oak. I have this fan in brushed nickel and its a spinning pile of junk it moves no air.
@@demarkusthompson2867 yes indeed. I will say though… the 42” ones aren’t that bad.
Great fan
@@youngtilt5506 I was impressed with how much air they moved.
Man these don’t hold up as well… my favorite ones are the 90’s ones with the regency kind of blade brackets and a thinner switch housing. But these little ones are cute though
@@IceTheFanDude there’s an ice cream parlor not far from here that has a bunch of mid 2000s 42” ones and I always liked that version.
Love it!
I don't like these as much as the original generation.
@@JAX207CFS me either.
This fan reminds me of a King of Fans Helmsman. I have something like this.
@@alexthebold409 it could be. I wasn’t sure.
