This scene always brings a tear to my eyes. "We few, we happy few, we band of brothers....."
Usher lying his ass off lol
I’m curious if Elijah was already casted to play as Frodo by this point
Okay, now show us the Battlefield Earth premiere at Skywalker Ranch.
This one video seems to encapsulate my entire childhood.
You were there?
Ozzy had a good point.
Was Ozzy confused with Dune?
Half the people there don't know the first thing about Star Wars...like Alyssa Milano and Holly Marie Combs.
2:44 How deep, the force deep, I coud love you Alyssa Milano so deep! Takes huge balls to be that in love 😗😘😂😮😢
10:56 Carmen are you cold?
Sorry I'm pretty sure the movie of the decade was Terminator 2
Even Frodo Baggins is a Star Wars fan! 😊
I remember watching this when I was 13 turning 14 and it was great seeing so many MTV celebs getting in on the hype. The Prequel haters assume the worst about everything and can’t tell these people liked it but that nothing can live up to 16 years of expectations no matter what was made. Even Top Gun 2 gets criticized but is still a great movie. I was 14 when I saw TPM and I admit that Jar Jar was making me roll my eyes for the first 30-40 minutes till 3PO shows up and I realized why Jar Jar is important to the story as comic relief similar to the droids in the OT. I walked out loving the movie while my too cool for school peers were not impressed. The haters of the PT are people who are only into something if it’s considered popular or if enough people claim it’s good. They have group think/mob mentality and lack a real personality. Yes there’s things I don’t like or would have personally done different like color palette of Naboo or Anakin saying “I care for you too”. I would have had him say I care about you too. My issues are all minor nitpicks not hyperbolic popularity contests playing to the mob. This special is so nostalgic for me. The use of Bawitdaba was perfect. Seeing my(at the time) new favorite band Korn there and Davis saying he had the vintage toys while I was collecting the POTF2 line was great. All the celebs going to a movie was actually fun to watch. The PT was obviously the target of a HW smear campaign too because George circumnavigated the traditional HW system and made a shit ton of money without any of the old studios controlling him. It was a middle finger to the HW system and I love that. Sucks that all the casuals who hated on the PT led Lucas to sell to Disney, destroyer of worlds. I still love 77-2012 Star Wars despite the Mouse tainting it. May the Force be with you, always. 🍻
🙄Lucas did not sell Lucasfilm because some people didn't like his prequel products, which made billions btw. Only the ignorant think that. Lucas could care less how haters felt when the $$$ was rolling in, not to mention, he currently had two highly successful T.V. shows at the time he sold the company and merchandising was through the roof. If he sold it because of those who didn't like it, he would have done it a decade earlier and it certainly wouldn't have been the entire company.
@@Elemental_Entity get an education, learn some reading comprehension, and stop freaking out when you’re proven wrong ma’am. 😎🎻👩🏻🎤
@@tetsuoswrath Coming from the incel that thinks Lucas sold his company because of backlash and proceeds to spread false rumor out of utter stupidity. What's it like having a mom and dad that are brother and sister?

i love this, i love Ananda Lewis
Same here too I also think she's cute too
I was 2 years old when the prequels started.
Best movie of All-Time!!!
...
You can tell most of these celebrities don’t know anything about Star Wars. They all give the same generic answers about what they’re excited for (special effects, lightsaber fights, Natalie Portman).
Every time I hear Orgy's version of Blue Monday, I think of the ending of the video
I remember that watching this premiere as a kid (and already a huge Star Wars fan), the biggest thing I took from it was that it made me a big fan of the songs "Millennium" by Robbie Williams and "Blue Monday" by Orgy. This was the first time I had heard those songs and I was absolutely hooked, especially Orgy and the hits they'd have.
I remember this!
Tf was usher doing there?? Lol the most random celebrities pulled up 😂😂😂
Why? He can't like Star Wars too? 🤣🤣🤣
What do I get the feeling of two things that they saw a bad movie or the celebs where regretting it and just doing it for the publicity
Look at their reviews, effects are great, fights are great. Nothing about how good the story is. They are saving face and mentioning what they liked, but neglecting the movie as a whole.
@@Elemental_Entity as they say if you want to be a star just lie about a bad movie that’s good
@@RockerMicke1 They definitely don't want to badmouth a potential future employers work. That always plays the biggest part in shilling.
@@Elemental_Entity that’s tinsel town for ya
11:42 You just know that starring in Hotel Chevalier made his day.
This is truly one of the most baffling things western pop culture has ever produced and I absolutely love it.
And Frodo/Spyro was there!
Every generation thinks theyre the best, but anybody who grew up in the 90’s and was a teen in the early 2000’s really had the best lives in all of human history and within a decade the gradual decline of the west began. By 2020 civilization was destroyed by the tech left!$ts.
Celebrities are kinda dumb. Thanks for the upload!
At least Seth Green knew a lot.
This is cringy.
So why are you here then? 😂
this was the endgame of the time
This was much bigger than Endgame.
@@Elemental_Entitybut not better
@@MediaLoverChris02 agreed!
0:05 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Ozzy breaking down temporal mechanics
10:45 Ozzy is so right about that
Always bugged me until i found out the prequel designs were meant to resemble 1920s "futuristic" craftsmanship that leads into the 70's angular designs of the OT, and it also makes for a sense of a once majestic gleaming time falling into the used future/dirty look Really neat idea
Damn this is so nostalgic. Imagine being in high school when this came out and watching it with your friends. 90s and early 2000s were simple
It was horrible.
@@RollingPeople97 There were some good things about this movie
@@RollingPeople97 What do you think of Revenge of the Sith?
@@knightwarrioranimations9656 Revenge Of The Sith? Watched in the cinema. Never felt the need to watch it again.
@@RollingPeople97 Really
Millennium was my favorite song at the time and I was just captivated when I heard it here
I can’t tell if Chris really knew Boba would be in 2 or if he was joking
He didn't know. He was joking.
It was announced as far back as 1997. If you watch the 97 MTV Special Edition premiere they mentioned it then too. George even expresses how surprised he was that fans love Fett so much and the book/comics writers(Expanded Universe) wanted him to be brought back. George is hilarious in that clip talking about it too. It also helps give credence to the EUs validity since Lucas is obviously okay with fans wanting more Fett content. And Fett was always tied to the Stormtroopers being a prototypical trooper in early design concepts.
@@Elemental_Entity watch the 97 MTV Special Edition coverage and see that it was announced years before the prequels that Fett would be in them.
@@tetsuoswrath I understand that, but he came off like he was joking.
@@Elemental_Entity just admit you were wrong like any man worth a damn could do.
I was glued to my tv
Thank You SO much for uploading this! I've been trying to find this for the past 20 years! This was the very first time that I ever heard Orgy's cover of "Blue Monday"!
Same here man! This was my introduction to Orgy too and became a huge fan ever since then. I too could NEVER find this special ANYWHERE! 🤣🤣
