Big Z was the strongest man that year. He won the deadlift and the press events. WSM isn't just a strength competition. I would like to see a pure strength competition, all static, nothing mobile.

I really do like Hafthor but it took him 8 tries to win worlds. Big Z, 4 tries. B. Shaw, 3 times. 2009 - 3rd 2010 - 2nd 2011 - 1st Shaw is the strongest human to have ever lived .
Zydrunas couldn't compete in 4 straight WSMs in his prime because of internal politics, and was top 2 in every other one over a span of 14 years. 8 Arnold's when no one else has more than 3. Shaw is awesome, and the second best ever, but big Z is the GOAT by a wide margin.
Shaw didn’t compete vs Mariusz in his prime like Z had to do. And Z beat Shaw over a dozen times including the Arnold’s. Shaw is awesome! But Z = 🐐
Z is the greatest by a Margin, Z also had 6 second places at WSM and he couldn't compete during 2005-7, He would've wom twice more atleast if he could.

Zydrunas performance in log lift showed how much gap between him and Brian in shoulder power
never understood why WSM uses these little handles to tear their fucking hands to shreads and on the first event at that to fuck up the entire competition because you can't actually see how strong someone is with ripped up hands
just this year happened to Mitchell Hooper. He destroyed his hands in a similar event, which was also the first one in the final.

Brian cheated on the atlas stones, but Savickas cheated at the log press, so it was fair.

It’s really irritating hearing the commentators constantly mispronounce Savickas’s name. It’s not Savisckas, at least if you’re the commentator get the names of the competitors correct especially the defending champion

I’m not totally sure but most of it is for grip so they might not want competitors using grip help
