I agree, it's so much better playing it than watching it. Watching a game be played can never stack up to playing a game yourself, a huge part of the art form is tuning the experience of the game. Watching a game without experiencing the controls and feedback is like listening to a movie without visuals.

I'm sorry, but it really seems like no attempt was made to balance the audio at any point over these 18 hours. You can't just put this on, you have to _constantly_ babysit the volume depending on who is speaking (one commentator is legit quieter than the game at many points). This is a running issue with RRLAT; whether a run is watchable or not is a crapshoot and kinda just depends on whatever the runner's settings happen to have been

This game's use of Back in Time for 100% is fascinating when contrasted against the other BiT game, Twilight Princess, in which the BiT opener that is standard for most categories will actually invalidate a 100% run due to locking you out of a few required items.

So I have hundreds of hours at this point but I do any + Blue quests I can find as well as experience any extra deep dungeons etc thoroughly and I'm only in post stormblood lmao. GG, dedication!
