How to change an encaustic painting
Просмотров 1733 года назад
Often times as artists, we don't finish our paintings. Years go by and then we decide to toss it, finish it or remake it. In the case of an encaustic painting, this can be challenging because the wax medium has stabilized (become hard), and we feel we have few choices. In this example, I show you how to completely transform an old painting by slowing applying gentle heat to pull back some of th...

Brilliant tutorial, thank you 😊

Hello I have never watched you before but my question to you is you just talk like everybody has a copy transfer giddyup I would love to know how you make your transfers when you don’t have anything what do you do go to the library to go to Staples you go to Kinko’s how do you make your transfers? How does anybody make their transfers if you don’t have one of those gadgets which is very costly. Thanks.
OMGosh! Thank you💓
Thank you for this video. I have been on a quest to figure out the best adhesives for the different materials I use. This looks like what I have been looking for for using paper. How is this on fabric? I need an adhesive that doesn’t bleed through fabric creating a splotchy appearance.
Hi I love that bear. How can you get me one? Thanks
I want that stencil birds and branches. I see this is a year old. Hope you still have it.
Hello good stuff. Please send me your link or how to look at what you have to sell product.thanks
GREAT tutorial,TYTYTY!!!
FYI: the German glue is "Great Art Wallpaper Adhesive" and it says "Kleister" on it. immunobiochemist here: the chemistry of carbon containing molecules is ⇾organic chemistry. as a whole, chemistry is incredibly precise, but even moreso w organic chemistry. glue making is heavily dependent upon the pH. if you are ever inclined to produce under laboratory conditions invest in a pH meter, scale and dionized distilled water. the deionization is important cz ions are what creates an acid or a base. instead of using alkaline powders like carbonates etc, you'd use HCL and NaOH to adjust the pH, keeping the consistency and the reaction ctrl'd, cz you'd only need a few drops of each to adjust it. anyway, i use my science education to make producing art as efficient and as accurate as possible, cz that's the only way to reduce waste. art at its core is physics, chemistry and biology. I've rarely encountered problems w art that did not improve w practice, because art is so science oriented. btw, lab grade chemicals are much more affordable in bulk. I'd suggest using dextein as a raw material for your next paste. ty for this vid
PRETTY PLEASE...OMG !!! WHAT is the name brand of wallpaper paste ???
I can't find the stitching tool you reference on your shop site. Do you have a direct link you can share? You artwork is stunning!
The website listed does not work
Also trying to find the paste. Unfortunately your website isn’t coming up for me. Thx
What's the name of the German wall paper glue? I can't see the label. Thank you.
Great Art Kleister Wall Paper Adhesive
Stunning!!
Very interesting, Christina. Does this dry clear? Glossy? I have a love/hate relationship with glues for papercrafting, so wonder if this would be good for that. Want something that will not warp papers, which is why I was looking a Yes! paste videos and this one popped up. I'm subscribing so I can see more of your mixed media creations. Thanks again.
It does dry quite clear. It will warp paper however as it is 95% water. You may have to try yes paste after all. Good luck!
This was the best information… thank you so much
Really interesting Christina. The foil sticking to plain newsprint is like magic with no toner images for hot foil or adhesive for other foils. Must have a go! Love that shiny foil. Thanks so much.
Wow, I really enjoyed this technique and can't wait to give it a try. TFS
GENIUS!!
Are your paintings done on a wooden support rather than canvas? Can these products be used on a painted canvas?
THANK YOU!! WOW!!
Christina you are like a breath of fresh air when it comes to presentation skills!!!! You just make me want to create even if its just glue haha.
You're so kind, thank you!
Great tutorial, thank you 💕
