Methadone Skies was formed in March 2009, as a trio of friends started to discover their love for music. Although at first they tried to restrict themselves to a definite musical style and approach, they soon realized that they had to start shaking things around without the limit to a stereotype genre.. Currently the material ranges from psychedelic, progressive to doom, pop and shoegaze, sharing their common love for music only.

In 2020, the band remastered the first album, Enter the Void, originally released in 2012. As the 10th anniversary approached, a vinyl edition was also overdue.
