First Comics had some really interesting (and sometimes weird) books!

Old x-men is cool. I can't relate to anything x-men today as they're swamped in crossovers. Maybe a few issues of Wolverine, but that's it.

just recently got into 2099 but Ravage is one of the few i've not tried

Ravage was a ridiculous comic, but I loved Paul Ryan's art.

I've been collecting those 90s Conan issues too. The art is certainly a very different take on Conan. I'm not sure it works for the character but it is cool.

Ewoks #10 is a tough book to find on the cheap. That book is one of the 25th anniversary issues with the special Marvel border. In high grade it can go for up to $80 US.

ElfQuest is a great series of books. I wouldn't say it is worthless.

Slabs, imo, should be reserved for autographed copies.

The woman on the cover on that first Love Problems comic you showed looks a lot like Marilyn Monroe.

Steve Gerber rocked as a comic book writer. One of the last things he wrote before he passed was a DC Comics series called Hardtime. Would love to see a review of that series.

One story I heard about Soldier X and Agent X is that Marvel supposedly didn't want to pay royalties for the names Cable and Deadpool.

Just too expensive slabs

Imo I would only slab books that will sell or super high value for preservation. Anything else is just wasting money for me. Also keep in mind cgc could damage ur books. I sent 3 in got back 2 with blunted corners then got 9.6 so is probably damaged during the slaving process.

I just bought that Sisterhood of Steel issue #1. I haven't read it yet. I admit I bought it due to its great cover.

The problem is everything is being slabbed without any thought about the future collectability of the book. You can now pre-order slabbed new comics.

The Absolute Batman comics that just came out are really good. I highly recommend it

I was never into buying slabs or getting my books slabbed, takes up too much space. I have thought about it for a few of my golden age books, but just for preservation purposes.., however with all the nightmares I have been hearing with CGC damaging books, have been reluctant to go ahead with it.

I gave up comics when they reached $2 a copy .. I'm floored taht they are now up to $5.

Congratulations on those pick ups! I've been chasing an Aquaman #1 for a couple of years but haven't had any luck. I narrowly missed out on auctions a few times so hopefully I'll be able to get one soon.

I loved Spawn for McFarlane 's art. When he stopped drawing nearly altogether, I lost interest. The story never really grabbed me. I just loved the look.

I'm not a huge fan of Spawn. I don't hate it. I'm just not that interested in the character. Now, Gunslinger Spawn is a character I'm interested in.

DC horror was excellent with those books along with Witching Hour, Unexpected, House of Mystery, and others. Likely due to direction from Joe Orlando. Whom I believe was involved with EC Comics from the 50s. But I may be wrong.

The last issue of that DNAgents series (#24) is a Dave Stevens cover art key as well. I don't have it or issue #1 yet. I've only picked up issues 10 and 16 so far. Luckily, most of the issues for the series aren't extremely expensive. I also managed to pick up one issue of the follow-up series The New DNAgents that Eclipse also published. They also published a one-shot 3D issue. Antarctic Press published a one-shot DNAgents Super Special in 1994. And, Image comics published a 452-page trade for DNAgents in 2008.

Still have every issue of the Frenz run. I love it all.

I love Darkhawk, I actually went out of my way to get his first appearance in Darhawk #1, because I like him so much

I hope Marvel does more 2099 revivals. It needs more comics. They should do for it what they are doing for the Ultimate universe. EDIT: Not just mini-series and one-shots.

What are you anticipating with the ravage book? That it is going to get introduced into the mcu or because its from stan lee? Thanks for your response✌️

Absolute Superman was terrible liked absolute Wonder Woman haven’t read the Batman I hate Batman period.
