Case 85XT service and thermostart install
Here I am servicing a case 85xt that also has a fuel supply issue, I was able to verify why that is and at the customers request add the thermostart system that is a factory option where I was able to learn how it works and how it also is not the best system. Its a long video and I am finding out that making short videos is harder said than done. Thanks for watching #case #skidsteer #skidloader #oliverphil #farmequipment #tractormechanic #farmmachinery #farming #mechanic #caseih #maintenance #equipmentrepair

Trailer repair, broken tail light and bent housing. Rock Damage
Просмотров 18512 часов назад
Here I make a quick repair to a trailer after the customer dropped a heavy rock on the back of it. Little heat and bend work, small amount of welding and I then install a new tail light assembly and fix the wiring up with new heat shrink connectors. Not the greatest content but I still had to get it done. #trailer #oliverphil #farmequipment #tractormechanic #mechanic #farming #trailerrepair #we...

Here I finish up the repairs to the toro dingo, always something else that can be done but this little loader is ready for more hours of active duty. It ended up being longer than I wanted but they cannot always be short. That is what we will find out, what does it need and can it be used with little effort time and money or is it a much larger project with major issues? we start to find out in this part 1 project video. great to see
Kinda like a mid 80’s gm huh? lol. Metric on one and standard on a another
I would have to agree with that
Really good video.Fuel filters are really important. Thanks again.
I agree that was his issue, and cheap option for maintenance, thanks for watching
I wish I had a mechanic like YOU when I was younger
Thanks I try to fix it right and make sure it works like it should when completed
Nice repair in horrible weather Phil.
Didn’t want to spend too much time on it as I was definitely getting cold lol but definitely good enough repair for what it is thanks
Can’t believe you didn’t use scotch locks for the win! You can’t get repeat customers with actual fixes. Lol
I can’t believe they get used at all, I think they use scotch locks because they will outlast the warranty period, it saves them money and brings customers back for repair lol
I could use one for sure but too expensive for me. Lol
Yes I agree, was just in BPS these things are easy 30k
@ I can’t afford to buy a used one either
QSB? That would be an industrial application. This is an automotive application so maybe a ISB? Also too much idling is the cause of this.
Gotta love working on Kalmar Ottawa
Constant need of repair lol
Too much idle time!
Yes that’s correct press one for your prize !
What is the skid steer used for.
He uses is for hard scape work , stone walks, moving rocks , sod, dirt work , post hole , has a big auger for planting trees ect. Years and years of it
Don’t remove the rear tire. Leave on tractor, and remove tire with 2 tire irons, lot easier!!
Move outside and inside of tire to center of rim, then remove outside bead and pull taire loose and remove tire. ALeave inside bead on rim and pull tube . Then remove inside rim. Clean rim and put new tire inside rim on wheel. Air tube about 1/3, push under outside bead and then use hammer to put outside bead on without pinching tube, much easier.
Will you just throw the ball .... lol... you have a great shop buddy there ! (Agree VERY nice shop)
Just found your channel and subscribed. Great video.
Thank you, I appreciate that. And hope you find some interesting to watch or maybe learn as I have learned just by having the channel thanks
@@Oliver-Phil Well, I’ve learned a lot and made a lot of friends in the farming community here on RUclips.
@pagrainfarmer excellent that is something I look forward to
By the way, where did you get the lights you were wearing?
The green lights which I do like very well came from snap on tools, most of the magnetic lights I use are cyclops lights from Amazon but these I got off the tool truck
@@Oliver-Phil thanks
@@charlesjenkins8078no problem not too expensive and well worth it
Very interesting. Thanks for sharing this video. Thanks again!
Thanks for watching
That tractor is in great shape for an original!
Well at some point it was painted but clearly the air filter and other ignition items are original lol thanks for the comment
This is a good video.Nice shop too.
Thank you iam not done with all the metal or but that’s in the next coming month part of the projects to come, need to finish this tractor and the dingo then can get a second before more rolls in and thank you for watching and the comments !
I am looking forward tothe videos to its conclusion of agood tractor coming back to a life back where it belongs in the field helping the farmer complete his or her work.
I’ll get it posted soon as parts are in thanks
I know this is older, but them motor mounts look soft to me.
They are as the machine is old but they did not want to spend much and even turned down an overheating concern just happy to have it fast again but great observation
I would try and find a diesel engine for it
Another great option l, see how this engine does and see what direction to go thanks for the comment and thanks for watching !
Plus that 656 is in freaking great shape looking wise. Needs to be used again definitely.
I agree and cannot wait to see it complete and ready to go, thanks for the comment I appreciate it
A 12 point socket will fit on those square heads if they're turning. Found that out after torching some off. My stupidity. Have a gas 656 that does most of the work around my farm. Also an 886 and M. Go Red!
Great tip I didn’t think to try that, I agree plenty of red power out there to keep the farming going the right direction or either direction for that matter, thanks for watching and thanks for the comment
Don't forget the pressure will come up after running a bit when the valves start seating again so these numbers just mean something on start up. Putting honey motor oil in #2 until she starts will help her start or mystery oil to release the rings.
Great comment and thanks for the info, need to be ran for sure and see how well and that’s why once it’s running I’ll get it on the dyno to get her to temp and put a little load on it and see how it goes from there thanks
Yep! Truly a Friend 😂👍🇺🇲
Just helping out with lost tools lol
NICE VIDEO KEEP THEM COMING WAY BETTER THAN MM ANDY LOL
lol iam not commenting on that one but thanks !
Good video, stay safe with the weather headed your way.
@@JasonWoods-d1vthanks just got to work to prep for the storm
He’s way smarter for sure!
good video kept up the good work
Thanks I’ll do just that and I appreciate the comment
Enjoyed the video. Thanks!
Thank you, everything takes way more time when filming lol appreciate the comment
Love your work table.
Thanks it was provided for my convenience lol
Farmers don’t take holidays! Something is always broken!!
Very true
nope avoid like the plague
there are plenty out there and many worse engines to own lol
Yeah just taking it apart to help others who may need them, was great truck just someone decided to hit it and that’s all she wrote
Why strip it if ur junking it
Engine parts or something like that
Parts that can be saved and sold to help others
So it is just a two-speed planetary transmission. Thank you!
Easy enough I’d say thanks for the comment
Can u send me the old belt 🙏
That is long gone lol
Off subject, but what ever happened with your Dyno?
It’s done, I used it in the super 55 video I’ll get it out and dyno this 1750 been meaning to dyno the 1750 with a lift pump and without and see if there is a difference
Great song
I agree thanks
I pulled 4 16's with a 1650
Yes great combo, I have more plows just this one is nice to use, with over 120hp in this tractor I definitely can plow with more bottoms but don’t want to plow all the ground and leave nothing g for the rest lol
Those two make a great pair for sure. 508s do a great job
I agree , many different plows to use I’ll switch it up but this is my favorite
sweet unit. working good together. my childhood was growing up around Olivers, Masseys, and White.
Nice , all good tractors
Looks like nice soil. Always loved to plow. It was the start of all being new again. Nice tractor and plow. 3 bottoms are pretty sought after around here. Don't see many of them. What makes a special different from a regular 1750? I used to have a 1750 myself. Pulled an IH 700 5 bottom semi mount with it. It had the over under in it. No turbo but it was at 100 hp. Really miss it.
1750 special was a stripped down version with straight shaft with no 3speed small fenders pans wheels and all the white is Euclid green instead of white to make them cheaper to compete with John Deere 4000 series tractors and other options as well but great tractor
@@Oliver-Phil Ok thanks. I guess all of the companies at that time had a model that was just a little bit cheaper to compete.
My favourite job on the farm and next was the one way disc.
I do enjoy working ground thank you for the comment and thank you for watching
That combo was doing a very good job.I miss the days gone by when we broke ground,it was satisfying to the soul.
I could t agree more, plenty of horsepower for more bottoms, but easy to maneuver Without any struggling
That ground is definitely Delaware County ground. Easy spots and down right miserable spots. We need to chat with Ted about doing his ground along 36/37. We could have spectacular views
That is a good idea
@ I’m full of those but nobody seems to ask
Nice😎🫡
Subtle change but nice look thanks
1/2 x 2-1/2 in #3 plow bolt is what you needed i believe.
I agree I measured after the video came up with 2.5 exactly but that day didn’t have it and don’t know the length just grabbed what’s in the truck but I’d like to replace all the hardware and flip the points and I have springs that need replaced or cut to match but it was new once
Digging those field service ends on the hydraulic lines
Hey it gets the job done that was pre hyd hose crimping machine in the shop lol
Great job!Really enjoyed.
Thank you very much appreciate you watching
