So i don’t floss close to at all and I am afraid to start. I want to do the water floss but my dentist says that my gums are idk to far up and that string floss will help.i have braces. Also they didn’t say anything about water floss I looked everything up after the dentist visit

As someone who works in drinking water treatment I can say that fluosilicic acid is something all people who do what I do would like to go without. Realistically there’s fluosilicic acid in so many products today that it doesn’t really need to be in the water supply to achieve the same effect anymore.

Mouthwash is horrendous for your teeth, gums, natural mouth flora and breath in the long term. Don’t listen to that advice please.

A waterpik did wonders for me. I don't really string floss much, but I dont have tight teeth. Went years between dental visits due to pandemic and my dentist was so surprised when I told her I hadn't had my teeth cleaned in two years. I honestly think she thought I was exaggerating. I would never go without one again.

Flossing is super uncomfortable for me so my dentist suggested a water flosser. Not sure how its supposed to clean your teeth though. I figure it blasts away tge food particles and such but what about the germs? Guess it needs mouthwash for the germs?

Doesn't alcohol dry your mouth and then cause more bacteria to develop and make the bad breath worse?

Yea and not to mention most of us brush our teeth 2to 3 times a day, so imagine how much fluoride we are absorbing after several years. I stopped using fluoride tooth paste years ago and recently switch to mineral organic toothpaste
