I believe u need to check ur history. The catholic church was the apostate church paul described in Timothy an thesalonians. Ur church split from the catholic church @ the 10th century. Also u misquoted Roman's 16:16. "The churches of christ salute u...There was only ONE church christ established in matthew 16:18. Where is the orthodox church mentioned in scripture?? U guys r a shadow of the catholic church. Not being unkind just truthful.

The problem is according to scripture the one an only church jesus established an died for was the church of christ. Romans 16:16. I agree the catholic church is a church but it was started by man @ 600 years after christ established his. Where is the catholic church even mentioned in scripture. Where is all its manmade organization in scripture. Where is even ur pope mentioned. It an they r not. Only mentioned in ur traditions, which r not inspired.

Do u hear yourself?? That is exactly why we have so many denominations today. Instead of letting the bible interpret itself, we rely on people to interpret it for us. Tha t is exactly why we have so many denominations today. In the first century there was only 1 church, one!! Why so many today? Simply because of what u just said. Trusting a mere human for ur eternal soul. That is what all religions do; trust their preacher to tell them what to do to go to heaven. U can do that if u so choose, but I'm gonna let God tell me what I need to do through his word. Myself as well as u have the ability to know what God wants us to do.

So what u r doing is putting ur eternal soul in the hand of a man??? U mean to tell me u don't have enough smarts to read the bible to let it tell u what to do. Did God produce a book that is too hard to understand, but yet u will b judged by that same book. God's word says, "b not unwise but understanding what the will of the lord is..." God demands u to understand His will because u will b judged by it. Plain an simple.
