Excellent presentation with lots of information. I wish Mulgrave good luck in keeping their school open, more than we had here in River John. If I were making the decision, that video of the Causeway would decide it for me, even an adult would be nervous about going across there in those conditions, never mind about the little ones.

Fowler report was excellent and Minister of Ed signed onto all those recommendations but so far has not made decisions or acted with willingness to support children in small schools in small communities. Rj and Maitland tried HUB. Wentworth tried legal ways. Mulgrave can argue to elected Board that the Minister signed the Fowler report and closing this school is not in the best interest of children. It will take municipality, school board, many departments. If it is money -- ask the board to ask the province to assign someone to work with Board and community to explore in full all opportunities to stay open. Ask them to work with the fact that there is declining enrollment and excess space BUT find money from all departments in gov't --this building provides gathering space important shared community usage. You pay taxes for education your children count as much as 63 children anywhere.
