Lofi of color should hire artists of color not only to promote artists who might not get as much spotlight in the very whitewashed mainstream but also to support (other?) people of color financially. Come on, you had the perfect chance to do something great and then you botch it with Ai 😭

its a terrifying thing to imagine that AI art will eventually grow to be as good looking as real art.

So here's the REAL issue: If you cannot tell AI art from real art, what does that say about real art? How formulaic, how shallow is the art we see on social media if AI can do it too? I am sick an tired of anime/pixar stylized portraits of the same Pinterest girls... There are so much art that's just "pretty pictures". There is no story, no message, no theme. It's just an illustration that's meant to net you a like. Some design to slap onto a influencer merch-line. Art is so machined that no wonder machine learning can do it just fine and nobody notices. I know none of you like to hear this, but it needs to be said: Art on social media is a product. And you are selling out.

I deleted all of my content from Instagram (moved to Cara); all of it, posts, stories, etc. Here's the fun story: When you delete a post, you have to wait 30 days before full deletion and we have until 16 June to opt out, but since I have to wait 30 days for full deletion, I think my data will be used anyway. When I've heard about this, it was too late (less than two weeks), not even an email or notification or something to accept. I did not accept anything. Where I live, I do not have the Right to Object. When I sent a mail to ask if my data is going to be used or not, here's what they responded: "Based on the information that you have provided to us, we are unable to identify any examples of your personal information in a response from one of Meta’s generative AI models. As a result, we cannot take further action on your request." So basically, your data needs to be used by the AI to have the right to complain. This is hilarious

There's one concrete rule about life that everyone needs to know and come to terms with. Life is not fair. That's it. Adapt or become obsolete

Just yesterday i saw an artist who does ink and watercolor illustrations having one of his works marked as "AI generated>"...maybe because the AI already trained on his images and could not differenciate anymore? There are so many problems with the implementation of this technology

I genuinely can't understand why I should go and persuade that I have a basic right to say NO to use of my data, when it's Meta who should make efforts to prove they have any right to take it like its' their property n that it's gonna be safe. It just seems twisted to me

I didnt know you needed to be the generation who tells everyone what pronoun you want to be called as much as the need to tell everyone IF its AI or not. Why DO we need to tell people its AI art? Is it because "You" as another person who isnt the one claiming the art for themselves need the know that its not the other person who made it to make yourself feel better? Why is that?

The argument about gatekeeping and AI democratizing art is a bit weak. Even if someone doesn't know how to draw or paint, they can pick up free software like Inkscape or Blender and get into vector or 3D art. There is a bit of a learning curve, but you get full control over the end result and will be able to improve your skills over time. As opposed to AI art, where learning to write better prompts doesn't really translate into any general insight about art and the quality of one's work largely relies on improvements in someone else's AI algorithm.

I noticed an alarming amount of quickly-released hentai games on the Switch Eshop and started playing a game-- look at the SFW preview images on them and see how many of them are AI art. Almost all of them. :) My favorite was the "gamer girls" one where almost all of the (nearly identical) anime waifus had one set of headphones around their neck and one on their head. I wonder how much money they make shilling this hastily-made garbage.

Art is over to make a living. Get into gardening, get out of the city and the system, for what is coming. Build a small tribe, and forget society.

Im sorry but I WANT them to tell me that its AI. Because I want to support REAL artists. Not machines. Or at least make it so regular people could scan the artwork to discern which is AI and which is NOT. I guess we are going to have to "microstamp" art from now on. Take art, break it down to pixels, and "rubiks-cube" stamp/manipulate every single pixel so that, the AI programming cant read it, but it becomes "blank" when AI programs "touch" it. A sort-of "reverse QR code", I guess ? Feel free to steal this idea and use it, btw. I just want to protect the art. Because I genuinely believe that ART SHOULD BE DONE BY ARTISTS/HUMANS.

I'm still gonna listen to Lofi of Color, but I wish they used art from actual Black artists. There are so many AMAZING black artists on the internet that are unrecognized, they could've shown their stuff. Ex: likelihood art, marcusthevisual, gdbee art, I can go on and on

I've been doing a lot of art projects for color theory lately. Sometimes my teacher would ask us to look up different art movements to take note from, but when I look them up a sickening amount of the art that comes up is AI. It's like taking a reference of a reference, It just doesn't work.

1:08 Stopped the video as soon as they said that they're shaming any and all people who use AI. Why do so many artists think that we are all inherently bad when some of us (such as myself) are using the AI to mess around and aren't using AI to make money off of it. So sorry that you have to resort to the same old tactic to spread your argument against AI.
